A stellar night by CBS's Monday comedy block, which included the largest audience ever for THE BIG BANG THEORY, gave CBS a nightly win in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Dec. 8.
THE BIG BANG THEORY won its time slot in households (6.7/10), adults 18-34 (2.8/08), placed second behind "Charlie Brown Christmas" in viewers (10.80m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind ABC). BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in households and viewers.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (6.4/10), adults 25-54 (4.7/11), adults 18-49 (4.2/11), adults 18-34 (3.8/10) and second in viewers (10.49m). This is MOTHER's best delivery in households since February 5, 2007 and best viewer total since March 24, 2008 (the first Britney Spears appearance).
TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (9.6/14), viewers (15.65m), adults 25-54 (6.3/14) and adults 18-49 (5.2/13). TWO AND A HALF MEN was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. This is TWO AND A HALF MEN's best deliveries in households and viewers since February 26, 2007.
WORST WEEK was first in households (6.8/10), viewers (10.60m), adults 25-54 (4.1/09) and second in adults 18-49 (3.5/08, -0.1 behind NBC). WORST WEEK's delivered its best household rating ever, best viewers and adults 18-49 performances since its September 22, 2008 premiere and matched the series' second best adults 25-54 performance.
CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.8/14), viewers (13.62m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (4.0/10), easily topping first run programming on both ABC and NBC.
For the night, CBS was first in households (7.9/12), viewers (12.46m), adults 25-54 (4.9/11), adults 18-49 (4.1/10) and adults 18-34 (3.1/08).
