"Top Chef: New York" Up Double Digits From Season Four
NEW YORK � January 22, 2009 � Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County" hit record numbers and scored the series' highest rated non-finale telecast ever for Tuesday's episode among adults 18-49 and total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. With double digit growth versus the prior season's episode, the OC ladies attracted 1.44 million among adults 18-49 and 1.97 million total viewers. Through nine episodes, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is up 30 percent from season three (averaging 1.21 million vs. 932,000) and up 36 percent among total viewers (1.66 vs. 1.22 million).
The Emmy and James Beard Award-winning series and No. 1 rated food show on cable, "Top Chef," is once again on pace to record its highest-rated season ever, with Wednesday's supersized original episode, "Restaurant Wars," ranking as the No. 1 cable telecast for the day among all key demos. Versus season four and through nine episodes, "Top Chef: New York" is up 18 percent among both adults 18-49 (1.966 vs. 1.673 million) and total viewers (2.795 vs. 2.375 million).
Season four of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is produced by Evolution Film & Tape Inc., with partners Douglas Ross, Gregory Stewart and Kathleen French serving as executive producers.
