New Docu-Series "NYC Prep" Delivers Over One Million Viewers - That's Like So Gossip Worthy
NEW YORK - June 24, 2009 - It's totally what everyone's talking about. Bravo's buzzed-about docu-series, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and "NYC Prep," delivered gossip-worthy numbers last night. Nearly three million total viewers and over two million adults 18-49 tuned in to part one of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion - the most watched Housewives reunion special ever. The series premiere of "NYC Prep" delivered 1.23 million total viewers and 815,000 adults 18-49.
Bravo was the No. 1 cable network in the hour (also outdelivering broadcast networks FOX, ABC, CBS and the CW) among adults 18-34.
Versus the "The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" season average, last night's reunion special was up 26 percent among adults 18-49 (2.03 million vs. 1.6 million) and up 33 percent among total viewers (2.89 million vs. 2.17 million). Compared to the "New York City" Housewives' second season reunion, "New Jersey" was up 27 percent among adults 18-49 (vs. 1.6 million) and 26 percent among total viewers (vs. 2.29 million). Finally, the New Jersey reunion dethroned the previous record holder, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta's" first season reunion special by three percent in total viewers (vs. 2.82 million).
And the drama doesn't end there, this Thursday the reunion special concludes with "The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Watch What Happens Part Two" on Thursday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, immediately followed by "The Fashion Show" at 10 p.m. A reunion special so juicy it needed two episodes - watch what happens as the Jersey girls finally let it all out on the table.
Online, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" notched the best reunion day performance ever for a Housewives series generating 33 percent more page views, 37 percent more daily unique visitors and 16 percent more video streams than the reunion day of the Atlanta Housewives.
"NYC Prep" will move to its regularly scheduled time slot of Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT next week. In the second episode on Tuesday, June 30, we learn that anyone who's anyone knows about a good party. Jessie's best friend Zoe is turning 18 and her party is the talk of the town. But when Jessie asks for PC's help with the exclusive Operation Smile charity event, the sparks fly. Sebastian thinks he's the king of Zoe's party as he courts both Kelli and Taylor.
