LOS ANGELES, CA (November 20, 2009) � Last night's Season Six finale of Lifetime Television's hit unscripted, People's Choice Award-nominated series Project Runway was the program's highest rated episode of the season among key demos, generating a 3.2 among Women 18-49 (up 28% from the season-to-date average), 3.6 in Women 25-54 (+38%), 2.9 in Women 18+ (+26%) and a 3.4 in Households (+31%), according to Nielsen Media Research estimates. The show averaged 4,275,981 Total Viewers � making Project Runway cable's most watched reality program in 2009 among Women 18+, Women 25-54 and in Households � who watched 27-year-old New York native Irina Shabayeva become Project Runway's winner this season. She wins a $100,000 cash prize furnished by L'Oreal Paris, a trip to Paris from Evian and a fashion spread in Marie Claire Magazine's February 2010 issue.
The Season One finale of Project Runway's companion series Models of the Runway generated a 1.1 rating among Women 18-49 and a 1.3 Household rating, averaging 1,475,312 Total Viewers. Kalyn Hemphill was the program's last model standing, and will appear in the Marie Claire feature spread with Shabayeva and receive $25,000 from Garnier Skin Genesis. Both series are produced by The Weinstein Company, Miramax Films, Bunim-Murray Productions and Full Picture.

Recently nominated for its first ever People's Choice Award for TV Competition Series, Project Runway will return to New York next season, premiering on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 10PM ET/PT. Season Seven marks the first time the show has ever been shot and distributed in High-Definition (HD). All future seasons of Project Runway and Models of the Runway will also be shot and distributed in HD. Season Two of Models of the Runway will air at 11:00PM ET/PT, beginning January 14, 2010, immediately following Project Runway.
Lifetime is the top-rated women's cable network across key demographics, including Women 18-34, Women 18-49, Women 25-54 and Women 18+. The Network's hit drama Army Wives has been the highest-rated original drama on ad-supported cable among Women 18-49 for two consecutive years and, during its third season, averaged 3.6 million viewers. The first season of Lifetime's comedic drama Drop Dead Diva was the Network's highest-rated first season of an original series since Army Wives in 2007, and was a top three rated debut original cable series in 2009 among Households, Women 18-34, Women 18-49, Women 25-54, Adults 18-34 and Women 18+. Lifetime is also the number one-rated and most watched ad-supported cable network for original movie premieres among Women 18+.
