SANTA BRINGS CBS ITS 13TH WEEKLY RATINGS WIN IN 14 WEEKS
CBS has Eight of the Top Ten Programs
#1 Six Nights of Week, More Than All Other Networks Combined
CBS dominated the holiday week with first place finishes in viewers, households, Adults 18-49 (tied with NBC) and Adults 25-54, buoyed by scripted programming that claimed eight of the top 10 most watched shows on television, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 27, week 14 of the 2009-2010 television season.
CBS also had 14 of the top 20 programs, with NCIS, NCIS LOS ANGELES, CRIMINAL MINDS, CSI: NY, THE GOOD WIFE, CSI: MIAMI, THE MENTALIST SPECIAL, COLD CASE 10PM SPECIAL and CSI SPECIAL among the week's the top dramas and TWO AND A HALF MEN and THE BIG BANG THEORY its top comedies.
For the week in viewers: CBS (9.11m), NBC (6.42m), FOX (3.71m) and ABC (4.53m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.76m), ahead of ABC (9.30m), FOX (8.77m) and NBC (7.83m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (2.7/08) and tied with NBC for first in adults 18-49 (2.0/06). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +20% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54 and +18% in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.1/08).
For the week in households: CBS (5.7/10), NBC (3.9/07), FOX (2.3/04) and ABC (2.7/05). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of ABC (5.9/10), FOX (5.2/08) and NBC (4.9/08).
