HGTV Again Breaks Ratings Records for 2009, Fourth Quarter and December
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. [For Immediate Release - December 30, 2009] HGTV finished 2009 with its highest ever yearly prime time ratings among households with a 1.0 and P18+ with a 0.6 as reported by Nielsen Media Research. In addition, the network tied for its highest ever yearly prime time rating among P25-54 with a 0.5. HGTV's 2009 also delivered its highest ever yearly prime time average audience among households with 950,000 impressions and among key demos with P25-54 (499,000) and P18-49 (422,000).
In the final quarter of 2009, the network delivered its highest ever fourth quarter prime time ratings among households with a 1.0, P18+ with a 0.6 and P18-49 with a 0.4. HGTV's highest ever fourth quarter prime time average among households and key demos were 939,000 HHs, P25-54 (488,000) and P18-49 (409,000).
HGTV rang out December with record prime time ratings among W18+ with a 0.8, P18-49 with a 0.4, P18+ and W25-49 with a 0.6. December 2009 also delivered the network's highest ever prime time average audience among HHs (919,000) and key demos including P25-54 (476,000) and P18-49 (400,000).
