"60 MINUTES" is #4 MAKES TOP 10 LIST FOR SEVENTH TIME IN NINE WEEKS
60 MINUTES, once again, is on the Nielsen top 10 list, drawing 14.84 million viewers to finish at # 4 for the week, according to Nielsen live-plus-same day ratings for Sunday, Jan. 3. It was the seventh time in nine weeks that the broadcast made the list, the last three of which ranking at #4 or higher.
This season, 60 MINUTES has been on Nielsen's top 10 list nine times over 15 telecasts and has been a top-20 performer every week. The broadcast posted a 9.1/14 household rating and share to finish at #3 in that category for the week.
On Sunday (3), America's number-one news program featured the first interview with a whistle-blower who told Steve Kroft the secrets of Swiss banking, a Byron Pitts story about problems at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs that are frustrating disabled veterans, and Bob Simon's feature on the language of forest elephants.
