Network Website Delivers Top Average for First Quarter's Unique Visitors and Total Minutes Spent
NBC.com Also Leads in March 2010 Among Total Uniques, Total Minutes and Total Pages Viewed
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 14, 2010 - Once again, fans have made NBC.com the #1 website versus competitive broadcast network sites in monthly averages of unique visitors (9.1 million) and total time spent (125 million minutes) - this success is distinct from the 2010 Winter Olympics Games which had a dedicated site, nbcolympics.com site.
NBC.com also finished on top in March 2010 with nearly 9 million total unique visitors, 140 million total minutes and 115 million total pages viewed. The data was provided according to the key industry sources comScore Media Metrix and Omniture.
Pacing the continued leadership of NBC.com (which also finished first in the third and fourth quarters of 2009) were the premiere of "Chuck" on January 10, the "Heroes" February finale, "The Office," the return of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in March and the series debuts of "Parenthood," "The Marriage Ref," "Minute to Win It" and "Who Do You Think You Are?"
· "The Office" tallied the highest average monthly unique visitors (1.3 million) compared to competitive broadcast network shows sites in the first quarter. The Emmy Award-winning comedy ranked #1 among all NBC Rewind shows during the quarter with total streams.
· Meanwhile, "Heroes" answered with 1.2 million average unique visitors in the first quarter.
· "Chuck" delivered 983,000 monthly average unique visitors in the first quarter. The action-adventure series also was among the top-three NBC programs in NBC Rewind.
· After premiering in March, "Parenthood" stood at #3 (243,000) among unique visitors to NBC Rewind.
· The return of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in March brought the third-highest number of unique visitors (1.2 million) to NBC.com and second-most short-form streams (1.9 million) in that month versus all other NBC programs.
