NICKELODEON'S ICARLY AND VICTORIOUS NOTCH WEEKLY WINS WITH DOUBLE-DIGIT GAINS
iCarly Scores TV's Top Spot with Total Viewers, Kids and Tweens in Saturday Time Slot
Victorious is Basic Cable's Number-One Scripted Series Telecast with Total Viewers
in Sunday Night Time Period
NEW YORK-April 20, 2010-Nickelodeon notched another weekly ratings win, fueled by performances from brand-new episodes of iCarly and Victorious. iCarly (April 17) ranked as broadcast and basic cable's number-one telecast in its 8-8:30 p.m. time period on Saturday with total viewers, kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. Victorious (April 18) also grabbed broadcast and basic cable's top spot among scripted series in its 8-8:30 p.m. time period on Sunday with total viewers and bested direct competition in the time slot with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and total viewers.
iCarly-year-to-date's top live-action series among kids 2-11-earned 4.3 million total viewers (+54% over last year's like time period), and averaged a 7.8/1.7 million kids 6-11 (+53%), 6.1/1.3 million tweens 9-14 (+74%) and a 6.1/2.2 million kids 2-11 (+24%).
Victorious averaged 3.3 million total viewers (+71%), 5.1/1.8 million kids 2-11 (+50%)) and 6.9/1.5 million kids 6-11 (+77%).
Nickelodeon closed the week (4/12/10-4/18/10) as basic cable's number-one network in total day with kids 2-11(3.1/1.1 million), kids 6-11 (2.7/573,000), tweens 9-14 (2.0/427,000) and total viewers (2.0 million).
Nick's weekly ratings performance also was highlighted by animated hits SpongeBob SquarePants, The Penguins of Madagascar and Fanboy and Chum Chum, which were the top three animated series, respectively, for the week on broadcast and basic cable with kids 2-11. SpongeBob SquarePants and The Penguins of Madagascar were also basic cable's top two animated series with total viewers for the week.
