OXYGEN MEDIA RECORDS BEST SECOND QUARTER EVER
"Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood," "Dance Your Ass Off" and "Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too" Drive Second Quarter Success
New York, NY - June 29, 2010 - Oxygen Media delivers its highest second quarter ever among key demos and total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Propelled by the success of "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, "Dance Your Ass Off" and "Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too," the network posted growth in W18-34, W18-49, A18-49, and total viewers.
In June 2010, the season finale of "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" was the most watched telecast of the season among W18-49, A18-49 and total viewers. Additionally, the season two casting episode premiere of "Dance Your Ass Off" was up double digits vs. season one's casting episode, (up +57%) W18-49 and (up +59%) A18-49. Also, ending in May, "Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too" was Oxygen's most watched freshman season among both W18-34 and A18-34. It was also Oxygen's youngest skewing season ever with a median age of 22.6 years. All three series had a hand in Oxygen's second quarter success.
Across prime, in 2Q10, viewership was up (+12%) among total viewers compared to 2Q09. For the quarter, Oxygen was up in key demos: W18-34 (up +1%), W18-49 (up +4%), A18-34 (up +3%) and A18-49 (up +8%). Oxygen ranks #28 among all ad-supported cable entertainment networks for A18-49 (up from #29 in the same weeks 2009) and ranks #23 among W18-49 (up from #24 in the same weeks 2009).
On the digital front, in 2Q10, Oxygen.com is pacing up in uniques compared to 2Q09 (up +9%). June 2010 is currently up in uniques by (+25%) and video streams by (+28%) compared to May 2010. In June, the Oxygen Mobile site is up year over year, (+78%) in uniques and (+68%) in page views.
