"Big Brother" Up +25% in Viewers, +21% in Adults 18-49 and +31%
in Adults 18-34
CBS Wins Thursday in Viewers
Last night's first BIG BROTHER live eviction show, which saw Annie Whittington as the first to be evicted, posted huge increases over the comparable broadcast last summer, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Thursday, July 15.
BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in adults 18-34 (2.1/08) and second in viewers (7.05m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (2.3/09).
Compared to the same night last year (BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY), BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +17% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/08), +21% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/07), +31% in adults 18-34 (from 1.6/07) and added +1.40m viewers (from 5.65m, +25%).
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (7.06m) and a close second in both adults 25-54 (2.2/06, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (1.7/06, -0.1 behind ABC).
