"Big Brother" Posts Double-Digit Percentage Growth Versus Last Year's Comparable Broadcast
All Five "Big Brother" Broadcasts Have Now Posted Growth
Over Last Summer
This summer's BIG BROTHER continues to outpace 2009 after last night's Sunday edition posted year-to-year growth, winning its time period in viewers and key demographics and finishing as the night's #1 program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sunday, July 18.
From 8:00-9:00 PM, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was first in households (4.2/08), viewers (6.98m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09), adults 18-49 (2.3/08) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06).
Against last year's comparable BIG BROTHER, last night's edition was up +20% in households (from 3.5/07), +30% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/07), +21% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06), +13% in adults 18-34 (from 1.6/06) and added +1.41m viewers (from 5.57m, +25%).
This marks the fifth consecutive BIG BROTHER broadcast to post year-to-year increases over last summer's edition.
