CBS EXTENDS ITS SUMMER WINNING STREAK TO SIX WEEKS
CBS Places First in Adults 25-54 for the Second Straight Week
"Big Brother" Continues to Post Year-to-Year Increases both On-Air and Online
CBS Dominates with Seven of the Top 10 Programs Overall and Nine of the
Top 10 Scripted
CBS extended its summer winning streak to six weeks in viewers and two consecutive weeks in adults 25-54 as the Network had seven of the top 10 programs overall (and nine of the top 10 scripted programs) and continued summer gains by BIG BROTHER, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Aug. 1, week 45 of the 2009-2010 television year.
For the week in viewers: CBS (5.97m), ABC (4.94m), NBC (4.66m) and FOX (4.50m). Summer-to-date among viewers, CBS (6.41m) leads ABC (6.03m), NBC (5.38m) and FOX (5.14m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (1.9/06) for the second consecutive week and tied for second with ABC in adults 18-49 (1.4/05, -0.2 behind FOX).
For the week in households: CBS (3.9/07), ABC (3.1/06), NBC (2.9/05) and FOX (2.7/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS is first (4.2/08), ahead of ABC (3.7/07), NBC (3.3/06) and FOX (3.1/06).

Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up +5% in both households (from 3.9/07) and adults 18-49 (from 2.2/08), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +6% in adults 18-34 (from 1.8/07) and added +210,000 viewers (from 6.50m, +3%). Versus the comparable broadcast last year, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up +8% in both households (from 3.8/06) and adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06), +12% in adults 18-34 (from 1.7/06) and added +630,000 viewers (from 6.08m, +10%).
? BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in households (4.0/08), viewers (6.52m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09), adults 18-49 (2.2/08) and adults 18-34 (1.6/07). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/09) and even in adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/09), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/08) and added +90,000 viewers (from 6.43m, +1%).
? BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was first in households (4.2/08), viewers (7.11m) adults 25-54 (3.0/09), adults 18-49 (2.5/08) and adults 18-34 (2.3/08) for the fourth consecutive week. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was up +10% in adults 18-34 (from 2.1/08) and even in adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was up +11% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/08), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/07), +44% in adults 18-34 (from 1.6/06), even in households and added +340,000 viewers (from 6.77m, +5%).
? Summer-to-date, BIG BROTHER is up +7% in viewers (7.13m vs. 6.69m), +9% in adults 18-49 (2.5/08 vs. 2.3/07), +11% in adults 18-34 (2.1/08 vs. 1.9/07) and +3% in adults 25-54 (3.1/09 vs. 2.9/08) compared to last year.
