Thursday's Live Eviction Show Wins Time Period in Viewers and Key Demos
"Big Brother" Continues to Outpace Last Week and Last Year
Last night's BIG BROTHER live eviction show won its time period in viewers and key demographics and out-delivered both last week and last year's comparable broadcast, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Thursday, Aug. 12.
BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in households (4.8/09), viewers (7.93m), adults 25-54 (3.2/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/09); it was second in adults 18-34 (2.1/08, -0.1 behind FOX). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +12% in households (from 4.3/08), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/09), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/09) and added +790,000 viewers (from 7.14m, +11%).
Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +9% in households (from 4.4/08), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/09), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.5/09), +17% in adults 18-34 (from 1.8/07) and added +1.00m viewers (from 6.93m, +14%).
