During the week of August 9, 2010, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" saw increases over the previous week in Total Viewers (+3% - 1.55 million vs. 1.50 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 637,000 vs. 590,000), growing in both measures for the 2nd week in a row. The ABC late-night program delivered its largest overall audience in 7 weeks and its best Adult 18-49 performance in 8 weeks - since w/o 6/21/10 and 6/14/10, respectively.
· "JKL" improved on the year-ago week (w/o 8/10/09) for the 2nd week running in both Total Viewers (+17% - 1.55 million vs. 1.32 million) and Adults 18-49 (+34% - 637,000 vs. 477,000). Further, "JKL" built on its overall audience year to year for the 4th week in a row and for the 9th time in the 11 weeks this summer.
· Increasing its competitive advantages to double-digit margins week-to-week, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" bettered CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by 16% in Total Viewers (1.55 million vs. 1.33 million) and by 20% in Adults 18-49 (637,000 vs. 532,000). In fact, "JKL" outperformed the CBS late-night program for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks with young adults.

"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 SEASON TO DATE IN TOTAL VIEWERS
"NIGHTLINE" BESTS "LETTERMAN" 18 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN TOTAL VIEWERS - FIRST TIME IN 11 YEARS
WEEK TO WEEK, "NIGHTLINE" GROWS +4% AMONG A25-54 AND +2% IN TOTAL VIEWERS
ABC News' "Nightline" is in first place for the full season to date with 3.75 million Total Viewers, outperforming CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," according to Nielsen Media Research. For the eighteenth consecutive week, ABC News' "Nightline" has outperformed "Letterman" among total viewers. The last time this happened was in 1999. Additionally, for the week of August 9, 2010, "Nightline" ranked second among A25-54, A18-49 and Total Viewers.
Compared to last year, "Nightline" grew +3% among Adults 25-54 and A18-49. Week to week "Nightline" grew +4% among A25-54, while "The Tonight Show" decreased -3% and "Letterman" declined -4%. "Nightline" also increased +3% among A18-49 while "The Tonight Show" declined -2%. "Nightline" grew +2% among Total Viewers week to week while "The Tonight Show" decreased -1% and "Letterman" decreased -4%.
ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
