OXYGEN ON PACE FOR BEST YEAR EVER
New York, September 28, 2010 - Oxygen Media marks its best third quarter ever and best month ever with increases among all key demos, according to Nielsen Media Research. Year-to-date, 2010 is pacing to be Oxygen's best year ever. Soaring to new ratings heights with the hit series "Bad Girls Club Miami" and new freshman series "Hair Battle Spectacular," Oxygen boasted a median age of 37.1 years in September, shaving off 7.8 versus last year (09/09). In September, Oxygen ranked #16 in prime time among all ad-supported cable entertainment networks for W18-34 and #18 among W18-49. Additionally, www.Oxygen.com is pacing for its best third quarter ever in monthly unique visitors and video streams and best September ever in page views, monthly unique visitors and video streams.
Oxygen boasted its best third quarter in the Network's history in prime across all key demos and claimed 101,000 W18-34 (up +20%), 186,000 W18-49 (up +8%), 139,000 A18-34 (up +28%), 257,000 A18-49 (up +11%), and 491,000 total viewers (up +9%). Additionally, In September 2010, the network had its best month ever across all key demos and posted increases delivering 131,000 W18-34 (up +85%), 234,000 W18-49 (up +64%), 177,000 A18-34 (up +106%), 321,000 A18-49 (up +72%), and 584,000 total viewers (up +54%), compared to September 2009
On the digital front, 3Q10 is pacing to be the best third quarter ever for Oxygen.com in monthly unique visitors by +44% and video streams +177% compared to 3Q09. September 2010 is also pacing to be the best September ever for Oxygen.com with increases in page views by +20%, monthly unique visitors by +70% and Video Streams by +469% over September 2009. September 2010 is also pacing to be the best September ever for the Oxygen Mobile site for page views and unique visitors. Versus last September the Oxygen Mobile site is up year over year, +114% in unique visitors and +111% in page views.
Driving the third quarter gains and September growth was the successful season of "Bad Girls Club Miami," and new competition series "Hair Battle Spectacular." In September, Oxygen earned it best three weeks ever in Prime among total viewers (wk of 9/6, 9/13 and 9/20). All seven telecasts of "Bad Girls Club Miami" Season 5-to-date have delivered over 1 Million total viewers. Season to date (8/3/10-09/21/10); premiere telecasts of Bad Girls Club Season 5 average 1,122,000 A18-49, 831,000 W18-49, 616,000 W18-34, 810,000 W18-34, and 1,679,000 total viewers. During "Bad Girls Club Miami" Season 5 premieres, Oxygen has been the #1 ranked cable network in the 9P hour among W18-34 - out delivering CW, as well as out delivering ABC & CBS on several episodes.
Through six weeks since its premiere, "Hair Battle Spectacular" is Oxygen's best freshman series ever among W18-34, W18-49, A18-34 and total viewers. Most recently, episode six of "Hair Battle Spectacular" on 9/21/10 set series highs delivering 1,170,000 total viewers, 410,000 W18-34, and 590,000 W18-49.
