STORM CHASERS Blows 'Em All Away

Heart Pounding Season Four Premiere is #1 Cable Show Across Key Demos

The season four premiere of STORM CHASERS "What Goes Around" on Wednesday, October 13 at 10PM ET/PT earned a 1.51 HH / 1.22 P25-54 AA% propelling it to the #1 cable program (non-sports/news, non-fiction) for P25-54, P18-49, M25-54, M18-49, M18-34.

STORM CHASERS' season premiere surpassed last season's debut (0.83 P25-54) by +47% and by +52% vs last season's premiere average (0.80).

Driven by STORM CHASERS' season premiere and a premiere telecast MYTHBUSTERS, Discovery was the #2 ad-supported cable channel for delivery among Men (M25-54, M18-49, M18-34) (no exclusions, 2nd only to USA among M25-54 and CMDY among M18-49/M18-34).

STORM CHASERS' season premiere telecast delivered the 2nd largest audience ever for the series, 2.22 million (P2+). Last night was the most watched STORM CHASERS telecast since the Season 1 finale on 12/7/08, which delivered 2.44 million (P2+). "What Goes Around" was the 2nd most watched STORM CHASERS telecast in all key demos, including: HH, P2+, P/M/W25-54, P/M/W18-49 and P/M/W18-34.

STORM CHASERS followed a special premiere crossover MYTHBUSTERS telecast, "Storm Chasing Myths" - with Jamie and Adam putting Reed Timmer's storm chasing vehicle 'The Dominator' to the ultimate test to see if it can really withstand 250+ winds. Earning a 1.0 P25-54 AA%, it is +54% versus the MYTHBUSTERS season premiere last week. "Storm Chasing Myths" was the #2 primetime (8P-11P) cable program (non-spots/news, non-fiction) behind only STORM CHASERS for M25-54/M18-49/M18-34 delivery.

Discovery's network primetime average surpassed several broadcast programs for Wednesday evening, including ABC's The Middle, NBC's Law & Order SVU and CBS' The Defenders, among M18-34 delivery.

STORM CHASERS continues next Wednesday at 10pm ET/PT with Reed and his team racing first on the scene to pull put victims from Yazoo City, Mississippi's monster tornado.
