HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE "GROWING THE BIG ONE" IS 2ND HIGHEST RATED AD-SUPPORTED CABLE MOVIE OF THE DAY
HOLIDAY MOVIE SUCCESS KICKS OFF HALLMARK CHANNEL'S ACCLAIMED COUNTDOWN TO THE HOLIDAY INITIATIVE
Hallmark Channel's original holiday movie "Growing the Big One" starring Shannen Doherty and Kavan Smith welcomed 2.6 million unduplicated viewers, making it the day's #2-rated movie (1.7 HH) on all ad-supported cable television. The movie's strong performance continues to make Hallmark Channels a viewer favorite and the premiere destination for high quality, family-friendly programming on television.
"Growing the Big One" was the 3rd highest rated movie of the day among W25-54 and boosted Hallmark Channel to be the 4th highest rated cable network in Prime Time for the day among households (1.4 HH).
After her grandfather dies, Emma (Doherty), a Seattle radio host, returns to her family farm, finding reason to stay when she learns the bank will foreclose on the land if she doesn't pay back her grandfather's debt. She enters the town's pumpkin growing contest to win prize money and discovers new meaning, and new relationships, along the way.
