NEW YORK - November 17, 2010 - Oxygen Media's Tuesday night line-up has proven to be a powerhouse as last night's broadcast of hit shows "Running Russell Simmons" and "Bad Girls Club Miami" set season highs among key demos - according to Nielsen Media Research. "Running Russell Simmons" reached a milestone delivering one million viewers for the first time this season while "Bad Girls Club Miami" saw double digit growth in total viewers (up + 21%) from the previous week.
The buzz-worthy freshman docu-series, "Running Russell Simmons" continues to gain momentum with last night's episode experiencing double-digit growth in all key demos with W18-49 (up +26%), A18-49 (up +19%), W18-34 (up +36%), and total viewers (up +19%) vs. the prior week�s episode. The latest episode allowed fans behind the velvet rope at one of Russell�s famous Hamptons parties and featured model Amber Rose.
Part one of the jaw dropping "Bad Girls Club Miami" Reunion Special hosted by gossip maven Perez Hilton earned a season high of over two million viewers and experienced double-digit growth in all key demos, W18-49 (up +12%), A18-49 (up +14%), W18-34 (up +11%), and total viewers (up +21%) vs. the prior week. In the 9PM hour, Oxygen continues to out-deliver The CW in W18-34.
Oxygen is pacing for its best year ever due in large part to the success of freshman series "Hair Battle Spectacular" and "Running Russell Simmons" as well as fan favorite "Bad Girls Club." Part two of "Bad Girls Club Miami" Reunion Special premieres Tuesday, November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, followed by episode four of "Running Russell Simmons" featuring rock star Courtney Love.
