OXYGEN MEDIA SCORES BEST NOVEMBER AND YOUNGEST MONTH EVER
Network Up Double-Digits in All Key Demos Including W18-34 (up +62%) and Pacing for Best Year In History
Oxygen.com Up Double and Triple- Digits During the Month
NEW YORK - November 30, 2010 -- Oxygen Media closes November with a bang, as it records double-digit increases from November 2009 across all key demos in prime including W18-34 (up +62%), A18-34 (up +59%), W18-49 (up +31%), A18-49 (up +29%) and total viewers (up +21%), according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, the network claimed its youngest month ever in prime with a median age of 35.5 years, 8.4 years younger than November 2009. Year to date, and for the month of November, Oxygen is the fastest growing women's network among key demos A18-49, W18-49, and W18-34. Oxygen Media is pacing to have its best year ever.
Year-to-date in prime, Oxygen ranks #21 among W18-34 (up from #23 the same weeks last year) and #22 among W18-49 (up from #23). Among A18-49, Oxygen ranks #28 (up from #29).
Powering the success of November was the wildly successful "Bad Girls Club Miami" (season five) and Oxygen's newest original hit series "Running Russell Simmons." On 11/16, Oxygen earned its most watched traditional prime ever among A18-49, W18-49, W18-34 and A18-34 behind the strength of both original series. Season five of "Bad Girls Club" out-delivered The CW in the 9pm hour on Tuesdays among W18-34, A18-34, A18-49 and W18-49, throughout the run of the season. Additionally, part one of the "Bad Girls Club" reunion special was the first episode of the season to draw in more than two million total viewers and was the most watched "Bad Girls Club" telecast of the season among total viewers (2.075 MM), W18-49 (1.059 MM) and W18-34 (827,000). Season-to-date, premiere telecasts of "Bad Girls Club" season five averaged 1,730,000 total viewers, 1,148,000 A18-49, 850,000 W18-49, 836,000 A18-34 and 639,000 W18-34.
"Running Russell Simmons" drew in more than one million total viewers for the first time ever on 11/16 and earned season highs among A18-49 (731,000), W18-49 (585,000) and W18-34 (417,000). During this broadcast, Oxygen out-delivered ABC among W18-34 in the 10pm hour.
Additionally, Oxygen.com is having a stellar month in November, having surpassed its previous best month ever marks in total video streams, visits and monthly unique visitors. Video streams have improved from October 2010 (up +67%) and year-over-year have risen (up +1258%), powered by the addition of full episode video content. Visits have increased (up +47%) vs. October 2010 and year-over-year are up (+409%).
Monthly unique visitors are up (+28%) vs. March 2010 and up (+287%) vs. November 2009.
