"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND AMONG ADULTS 25-54 FOR THE WEEK
"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 SEASON TO DATE AMONG ADULTS 18-49,
ADULTS 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS FOR FIRST TIME
SINCE AT LEAST 1993
ABC News' "Nightline" was the number one program in late night among Total Viewers (4.25 million) and among Adults 25-54 (1.73 million) according to Nielsen Media Research for the week of December 6, 2010. Also for the week, "Nightline" placed second among Adults 18-49 (1.30 million).
Season-to-date, "Nightline" ranks in first place among Total Viewers, A25-54 and A18-49. This is the first time "Nightline" has been in first place at this point in the season since at least the 1993-94 season when "Letterman" began on CBS.
ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.

ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is Up Week to Week in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49
"JKL" Tops CBS' "Ferguson" in Adults 18-49 for the 9th Time This Season

"JKL" Marks its Most-Watched Thursday in Nearly 6 Months

During the week of December 6, 2010, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" saw week-to-week increases in both Total Viewers (1.72 million vs. 1.65 million) and Adults 18-49 (701,000 vs. 636,000). In addition, "JKL" was up in viewers over the year-ago week (1.70 million on w/o 12/7/09), marking the 9th time in 12 weeks of year-to-year increases.
· For the 9th time this season, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Adults 18-49 (701,000 vs. 631,000). "JKL" topped "Ferguson" by 11% in the key young adult demo, marking the second-largest margin of the season. In fact, a repeat of "JKL" on Friday (12/10/10) outperformed an original of "Ferguson" by 27% (725,000 vs. 573,000) in Adults 18-49.
· "JKL's" Thursday airing (12/09/10), which featured guests John Krasinski, Rosemarie DeWitt and Crystal Castles, drew the ABC late night program's biggest audience on the evening in nearly 6 months (since 6/17/10) and its 4th-largest audience on any night this season. On that evening, "Kimmel" drew 10% more overall viewers than NBC's "Fallon" (2.09 million vs. 1.90 million) and 11% more than CBS' "Ferguson" (2.09 million vs. 1.87 million).
