FACE OFF SYFY'S BEST UNSCRIPTED FRANCHISE SERIES LAUNCH EVER AMONG ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54
NEW YORK - March 17, 2011 - 1.5 million total viewers tuned into last night's finale of Syfy's reality competition series Face Off as the no-nonsense Conor McCullagh was named the first season winner, confirming the show's status as the top unscripted franchise launch ever for Syfy among viewers 18-49 and 25-54. The finale (Wednesday, March 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) was also the top rated episode in its eight week run, building 13 percent from the previous week among total viewers and 10 percent among viewers 18-49.
The finale episode of Face Off garnered a 1.1 HH coverage rating and 856,000 viewers 18-49 viewers. Overall, season one of Face Off averaged a 1.06 HH coverage rating, over 1.4 total viewers, 892,000 viewers 18-49 and 892,000 viewers 25-54.
Syfy has picked up the series for a second season of special effects competition, offering a new group of rising SFX make-up artists with the opportunity to showcase their imagination and creativity. Dwight D. Smith and Michael Agbabian of Mission Control will return as executive producers for the second season of Face Off.
