NEW YORK - March 29, 2011 - Nickelodeon's 1Q11 performance marks the network's 64th straight quarter as basic cable's top total day network with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and total viewers, - the longest streak of its kind. According to Nielsen Media Research (12/27/10-3/27/11), the network also posted its most-watched quarter ever with total viewers (2.4 million) and averaged a 3.7/1.3 million kids 2-11, 3.2/687,000 kids 6-11, and 2.3/481,000 tweens 9-14.

Nickelodeon's preschool block (MF 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) boasts the number-one preschool program on all TV year to date, Bubble Guppies. Since its January launch, the series is averaging 2.0 million total (+4%) viewers and a 7.0/987,000 K2-5 (+3%). The series, which became an instant hit with preschoolers and parents alike, is also the top program on all TV in its 11 a.m. time period with kids 2-5 and total viewers.

Nick's first quarter was also fueled by solid ratings performances from SpongeBob SquarePants, T.U.F.F. Puppy and The Penguins of Madagascar, the quarter's top three animated series on all TV with kids 2-11. Nick's latest TV movie, Best Player, which starred iCarly's Jennette McCurdy and Jerry Trainor, ranks as the quarter's number-one TV movie with kids and tweens, posting double-digit increases with all key demos.

For the quarter, Nickelodeon boasts four of the top five preschool series on all TV (#1 Bubble Guppies, #3 Max & Ruby, #4 Team Umizoomi, #5 Go Diego, Go!) and basic cable's top three animated series with total viewers, SpongeBob SquarePants, T.U.F.F. Puppy and The Penguins of Madagascar.

Nickelodeon's digital networks Nick Jr. and Nicktoons also closed first quarter with solid ratings performances. Nick Jr. posted its best quarterly performance ever among all key demos, and is 1Q11's number-one preschool network in total day posting increases with kids 2-5 (+7%) and total viewers (+4%). Nicktoons had its most-watched first quarter with its core demo of boys, posting double-digit gains with boys 6-11 (+17%) and total viewers (+28%). The network will finish 1Q11 is the fastest growing cable network with kids 6-11, boys 6-11, tweens 9-14 and boys 9-14.
