Bravo Mobile Records Best Month Ever In Video Streams
NEW YORK - June 1, 2011 -Bravo Media kicks-off the summer on a ratings hot streak earning its best May in network history and delivering its seventh consecutive month of year-over-year growth among all key demos, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network averaged 821,000 total viewers and 542,000 adults 18-49 this past month in primetime, marking a five percent increase in total viewers and double-digit growth with 12 percent increase in adults 18-49 compared to May 2010. Fans helped Bravo Mobile record its best May ever in page views and post remarkable double-digit growth in video streams. The mobile site served 364,000 video streams in May 2011, up 732 percent vs. May 2010 and up 105 percent vs. April 2011. Bravo Mobile garnered almost 4.7 million page views in May 2011, up 17 percent vs. May 2010 and up 65 percent vs. April 2011.
Bravo earned its highest rated Monday night (8-11pm) in network history among all key demos on May 16 driven by "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" which delivered the highest rated season premiere in the network's history with 2.02 million adults 18-49 and the highest rated season premiere in the Housewives franchise with 2.87 million total viewers. The highly anticipated season three premiere marked double-digit growth, up 23 percent among both total viewers and adults 18-49 compared to the previous season premiere (5/03/10). The 90-minute premiere was the most watched full episode ever on BravoTV.com with over 766,000 streams in May.
Behind the strength of the network's high quality, original content that drives the pop-culture conversation, May was a milestone month for Bravo as multiple series earned record ratings. On May 9, the season finale of "Bethenny Ever After" delivered its highest rated episode of the season among all key demos with 1.73 million total viewers and 1.14 million adults 18-49. "Top Chef Masters" season three scored its most watched episode of the season to-date on May 18 with 1.26 million total viewers. Both "The Real Housewives of New York City" season four and "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season six delivered their highest rated episode of the season-to-date among all key demos with New York City earning 2.3 million total viewers and 1.5 million adults 18-49 on May 26 and OC delivering 2.1 million total viewers and 1.54 million adults 18-49 on May 22. The premiere episode of "Pregnant In Heels" on May 17 earned its highest rated episode of the season among total viewers (719,000) and adults 18-49 (519,000). Season four of Bravo's interactive late night talk show, "Watch What Happens: Live," had a notable month beating out cable late night talk show competition including TBS' "Conan" for three Thursdays in May. Hosted by Andy Cohen, the series is averaging an impressive 1.47 million total viewers and 956,000 adults 18-49 to-date, up nine percent among adults 18-49 (vs. 877,000) and up eight percent among total viewers (vs. 1,354,000) compared to the previous season.
