Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, Mavericks Win Big

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

The "NBA Finals, Game 6" (21.07 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.6, #1) wrapped another strong showing by ABC (17.97 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 7.3, #1) on Sunday. Leading off the night were pre-game specials "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (7.64 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3) and "NBA Countdown" (9.71 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.8, #2).

FOX (3.05 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then took home the silver among adults 18-49 with its all-repeat lineup of "American Dad" (2.27 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11), "Bob's Burgers" (2.09 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11), "The Simpsons" (3.08 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6), "The Cleveland Show" (3.04 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6), "Family Guy" (4.11 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4) and another "American Dad" (3.71 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.7, #5).

Next up was CBS (7.49 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with perennial "60 Minutes" (9.20 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #10) and its broadcast of "The 65th Annual Tony Awards" (6.92 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9).

And finally, NBC (4.13 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) closed out the evening with its mix of "Dateline NBC" (3.82 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T13), "Minute to Win It" (3.19 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T13) and "America's Got Talent" (4.76 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8).


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/13/10):

Coverage of the "NBA Finals, Game 5" (14.26 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.4, #1) had no trouble keeping ABC (12.83 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1) in front on Sunday. Pre-game specials "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" (8.20 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.0, #3) and "NBA Countdown" (8.83 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.3, #2) kicked off the night at 7:00/6:00c.

A distant silver then went to FOX (3.39 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) with new episodes of "'Til Death" (2.09 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) and "Sons of Tucson" (1.98 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) followed by repeats of "The Simpsons" (4.03 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #5), "The Cleveland Show" (3.80 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6), "Family Guy" (4.49 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.1, #4) and "American Dad" (3.94 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6).

Next up was CBS (7.47 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with its combination of "60 Minutes" (8.87 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8) and "The 64th Annual Tony Awards" (7.00 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8).

And finally, "Dateline NBC" (5.60 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8) and repeats of "Losing It With Jillian" (2.72 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14) and "Last Comic Standing" (3.02 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11) on NBC (3.59 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) rounded out the evening.
