Bravo Earns Best 2nd Quarter in Network History With Dobule-Digit Growth Among Adults 18-49
Bravo Mobile Records Best Quarter Ever In Page Views & Video Streams
NEW YORK - June 28, 2011 - Continuing its ratings momentum, Bravo Media earned its best second quarter in network history, delivering its fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth among all key demos in primetime and 23rd consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth among total viewers in total day, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network averaged 878,000 total viewers and 569,000 adults 18-49 this past quarter, marking double-digit growth with a 10 percent increase among adults 18-49 and a five percent increase among total viewers compared to Q2 2010. Bravo maintains its position as the No. 1 network with the most upscale, educated and engaged audience in cable entertainment and ranks as the No. 11 cable entertainment network in primetime, the third fastest growing Top 20 cable entertainment network, in the coveted adult 18-49 demo for year-to-date. Fans continue to connect with their favorite shows and Bravolebrities beyond the television screen as Bravo Digital posted a strong eight percent growth garnering over 3.8 million unique visitors a month in the second quarter. Bravo Mobile delivered its best quarter ever in page views and video streams, up seven percent and 540 percent, respectively compared to Q2 2010. Bravo Mobile also delivered its best June ever in unique visitors and streams.
Bravo earned its highest rated Monday night (8-11pm) in network history among all key demos on May 16 driven by "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" which delivered the highest rated season premiere in the network's history with 2.5 million adults 18-49 and the highest rated season premiere in the Housewives franchise with 3.5 million total viewers. On pace to record its highest rated season of the series averaging 3.1 million total viewers, season three is recording double-digit growth with an 11 percent increase among total viewers compared to the previous season.
The network's historic second quarter was fueled by rating milestones including season four of "The Real Housewives of New York City" which is averaging 2.65 million total viewers, marking a ten percent increase versus the prior season, and season three of "Top Chef Masters" which earned 1.7 million total viewers, up seven percent from season two. "The Real Housewives of Orange County" earned its highest rated season of the series ever among all key demos with 2.6 million total viewers and 1.9 million adults 18-49. The season six finale (6/5/11) delivered its highest rated episode of the series among all key demos and marked the first time the series earned more than 3.5 million total viewers and 2.5 million adults 18-49. Season four of "Watch What Happens: Live" is averaging an impressive 1.5 million total viewers and 975,000 adults 18-49 to-date, up 11 percent among both total viewers and adults 18-49 compared to the previous season.
