Disney Channel: Weekly Highlights
During the week of July 4, Disney Channel ranked as TV's No. 1 network in Total Day among
Kids 6-11 (872,000/3.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (680,000/2.8 rating) for the 4th week in a row. Fronted by "So Random!," Disney Channel held TV's Top 20 series telecasts in Kids 6-11 and the Top 13 series telecasts in Tweens 9-14.
In Prime, Disney Channel was cable's No. 1 network for the 322nd consecutive week among Kids 6-11 (1.3 million/5.2 rating), representing more than 6 years of dominance on a weekly basis, and placed No. 1 for the 319th time in the previous 322 weeks among Tweens 9-14 (951,000/3.5 rating).
Sunday's "So Random!," (9:05 - 9:30 p.m.), featuring legendary skater Tony Hawk, garnered series highs in Kids 6-11 (2.0 million/8.1 rating), Boys 6-11 (653,000/5.2 rating) and Boys 9-14 (521,000/4.2 rating).
"Friends for Change Games"
"Disney Friends for Change Games," an example of the great synergy between Disney Channels Worldwide and Disney Corporate Citizenship, has been an all out success across multiple platforms. Featuring over 30 Disney Channel and Disney XD stars from around the globe playing on behalf of environmental charities, the games launched on Disney Channel on June 24 and on Disney XD on June 27 to huge fanfare, reaching over 22 million unique Total Viewers on television, including nearly 11 million unique Kids 6-14.
Also impressive, page views for the online "Friends for Change Games" site have exceeded 9 million since its June launch, as more than 700,000 kids have participated in the game, 'Energy Dance Battle.' In addition, nearly half a million kids across the U.S. have voted for their favorite team's charity.
