'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' IS #1 PROGRAM OF THE WEEK IN ADULT 18-49, TOTAL VIEWERS AND OTHER KEY MEASURES

THE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY EDITIONS OF 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' ARE THE #1 AND #2 TELECASTS OF THE WEEK IN TOTAL VIEWERS, TOPPING EVEN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL'S ALL-STAR GAME

NBC RANKS #2 FOR THE WEEK IN ADULTS 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 19, 2011 - Led by two editions of "America's Got Talent," which were the top two non-sports programs of the week in adults 18-49 and were the top two telecasts overall in total viewers, NBC ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime week of July 11-17, averaging a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Tuesday's two-hour edition of "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.

Also ranking among the top programs of the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49 were the Wednesday edition of "America's Got Talent," which ranked #3 among all programs, behind only Tuesday's "Talent" and Fox's telecast of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. A Tuesday 8 p.m. ET encore presentation of "America's Got Talent" ranked #12 (tied) and "Love in the Wild" ranked #18 (tied) among primetime programs this week in adults 18-49.

With 14.1 million and 11.4 million viewers overall respectively, the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" were the #1 and #2 programs of the week in total viewers, with both telecasts topping Baseball's All-Star Game (11.0 million).

Primetime averages for the week of July 11-17 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.7/6), NBC (1.4/4), CBS and ABC (1.3/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.0 million), NBC (5.2 million), Fox (5.0 million), ABC (4.7 million) and CW (0.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 11-17:

* "America's Got Talent" delivered the #1 results on television Tuesday night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, outscoring even Major League Baseball's All-Star Game.

* Compared to last year's telecast that aired versus the All-Star Game, "America's Got Talent" this year was up 21 percent in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

* Despite airing against the All-Star Game, the 4.0 rating in 18-49 for Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" tops the 18-49 rating of every non-sports telecast so far this summer on ABC, CBS, Fox or CW.

* NBC ranked #1 for the night Tuesday in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories. This marked NBC's fifth consecutive Tuesday win in adults 18-49 and seventh in a row in total viewers.

* On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" scored the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measure on a competitive night that included CBS's season debut of the Wednesday "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

* Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" won its 9-10 p.m. ET time period with winning margins of 58 percent in adults 18-49 and 72 percent in total viewers.

* Wednesday's "Talent" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 150 percent in 18-49 rating and 137 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, "Love in the Wild" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in the hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other key demos.

* NBC won Wednesday night in the key demographic of adults 18-49.

* On Friday, "Friday Night Lights" gained 14 percent week to week in 18-49 rating and attracted its biggest overall audience since May 20.

* Also on Friday, "Dateline NBC" grew from its first half-hour to its third by 67 percent in adults 18-49 and 60 percent or more than 2.2 million persons in total viewers. "Dateline" led the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54.

* On Sunday, "The Marriage Ref" was up week to week by 25 percent in adults 18-49 and 52 percent in total viewers. In its time period, "Marriage Ref" ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of July 11-17

On Monday, July 11 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) hit three-week highs in this time period in adults 18-49 and total viewers, improving on the prior week's holiday-impacted result by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.2) and 28 percent or more than 1.3 million persons in total viewers (6.226 million vs. 4.857 million). "Talent" ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and total viewers and tied for #1 in men 18-49 and men 25-54. The "Talent" rebroadcast grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, including gains of 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.3) and 11 percent in total viewers (6.557 million vs. 5.894 million).

At 9 p.m. ET "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.8/2 in adults 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: LA" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 25 percent in 18-49 rating and 19 percent in total viewers.

On Tuesday, July 12 from 8-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.8/6 in 18-49 and 7.2 million viewers overall. The "Talent" rebroadcast was the #1 non-sports telecast in the hour in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures and ranked #1 outright in key adult-female demographics. From its first half-hour to its second, the "Talent" encore grew in all key ratings categories, including a gain of 12 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.7).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (4.0/11 in adults 18-49, 14.1 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results on television Tuesday night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, outscoring even Major League Baseball's All-Star Game. "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-female demographics.

Versus last year's telecast that aired against the All-Star Game, "America's Got Talent" this year was up 21 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 4.0 rating from a 3.3) and 21 percent or 2.4 million persons in total viewers (14.071 million vs. 10.423 million).

Despite airing against the All-Star Game, the 4.0 rating in 18-49 for Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" tops the 18-49 rating of every non-sports telecast so far this summer on ABC, CBS, Fox or CW.

NBC ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories. This marked NBC's fifth consecutive Tuesday win in adults 18-49 and seventh in a row in total viewers.

On Wednesday, July 13, at 8 p.m. ET, "Minute To Win It" averaged a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute" grew by 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.1) and 120 percent in total viewers (5.270 million vs. 4.396 million).

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.0/9 in 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall) scored the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measure on a competitive night that included CBS's season debut of the Wednesday "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance." "Talent" built on its lead-in by 150 percent in 18-49 rating and 137 percent in total viewers.

"America's Got Talent" won its time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demos head to head versus Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance." In adults 18-49, the "Talent" winning margin was 58 percent (a 3.0 for "Talent" vs. a 1.9 for "Dance" in that hour). In total viewers, "Talent's" margin of victory was 72 percent (11.4 million vs. 6.6 million for CBS's "Criminal Minds" encore in second place).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in the hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other key demos.

NBC won Wednesday night in the key demographic of adults 18-49.

On Thursday, July 14 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) grew versus the prior week by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (0.8 vs. 0.6), matching a summer high in 18-49 and attracting its biggest overall viewership in four weeks (since June 16). At 8:30 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 43 percent in 18-49 rating. "The Office" delivered its biggest overall audience in four weeks.

From 9:31-10 p.m., a rebroadcast "30 Rock" (0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 29 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.7) and 23 percent in total viewers (2.398 million vs. 1.956 million).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Love Bites" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

On Friday, July 15 from 8-9:30 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall) gained 14 percent in 18-49 rating versus the prior week (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and attracted its biggest overall audience since May 20.

Friday from 9:30-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) led the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54. From its first half-hour to its third, "Dateline" grew by 67 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 0.9) and 60 percent or more than 2.2 million persons in total viewers (5.910 million vs. 3.675 million).

On Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Who Do You Think You Are?" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall.

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "CI" grew 20 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.6 from a 0.5) and 21 percent in total viewers (2.672 million vs. 2.207 million).

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 80 percent in 18-49 rating and 69 percent in total viewers to tie for #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49.

On Sunday, July 17, from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew in most key categories, including gains of 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and 25 percent in women 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.8).

Sunday from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, the "Talent" rebroadcast grew by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 0.9) and 14 percent in total viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.3 million).

Sunday at 10 p.m. ET, "The Marriage Ref" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. Versus the prior week, "Marriage Ref" was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and 52 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (3.2 million vs. 2.1 million). In the time period, "Marriage Ref" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults and men 18-34 and tied for #1 in men 18-49 and women 18-34.
