truTV's New "South Beach Tow" Launches Big with 1.6 Million
A total of 1,635,000 viewers hitched up to truTV's brand new show South Beach Tow last night at 10 p.m. The series premiere is now tied with the December 2009 debut of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura as truTV's biggest Wednesday series launch ever. A second episode scored a hefty 1,572,000 viewers at 10:30 p.m.
Among key demos, the 10 p.m. premiere of South Beach Tow delivered 767,000 adults 18-49 and 439,000 men 18-49. The 10:30 p.m. episode expanded those demos to 804,000 adults 18-49 and 494,000 men 18-49.
South Beach Tow garnered tremendous growth compared to the installment of Disorder in the Court that aired in the same timeslot last year, with total viewers up 55%, adults 18-49 up 42% and men 18-49 up 46%.
With new episodes of truTV's Operation Repo leading into South Beach Tow, truTV scored its best Wednesday primetime delivery in total viewers and adults 18-49 since the first quarter.
South Beach Tow centers on Miami's family-owned Tremont Towing and the unique and fascinating characters who work there. The series comes to truTV from Bodega Pictures and executive producer Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Production.
