Disney Channel: Weekly Highlights
During the week of July 18, Disney Channel ranked as TV's No. 1 network for the 6th consecutive week in Total Day among Kids 6-11 (915,000/3.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (729,000/3.0 rating). Fronted by "Good Luck Charlie," Disney Channel held TV's Top 9 telecasts in Kids 6-11 and the Top 11 TV telecasts in Tweens 9-14.
In Prime, Disney Channel was cable's No. 1 network for the 324th consecutive week among Kids 6-11 (1.3 million/5.3 rating), extending its No. 1 streak to well over 6 years on a weekly basis, and placed No. 1 for the 321st time in the previous 324 weeks among Tweens 9-14 (1.0 million/4.1 rating).
In Total Viewers, Disney Channel ranked a solid No. 2 in both Total Day (2.2 million) and Prime (3.2 million).
Impressively, this week ranked as Disney Channel's most-watched week of 2011 and 3rd-most-watched week in its history in Total Day in Total Viewers (2.211 million) and Kids 6-11 (915,000). In Boys 6-11, this was the channel's 2nd-most-watched week ever in both Prime (570,000) and Total Day (372,000).
· Sunday's all new "Good Luck Charlie" (8:30 - 9:00 p.m.) was the week's No. 1 TV telecast among Kids 6-11 (2.4 million/9.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.1 million/8.5 rating), ranking as the series' No. 2 telecast ever in the target demos as well among girl and boy demos: Girls 6-11 (1.6 million/12.8 rating), Boys 6-11 (844,000/6.7 rating) and Girls 9-14 (1.4 million/12.0 rating).
· Sunday's "Shake It Up" (8:00 - 8:30 p.m.) grew over its most recent original telecast across all demos, and ranked as the series' No. 3 telecast to date in Kids 6-11 (2.0 million/7.9 rating). Moreover, through its first 20 airings, "Shake It Up" is pacing as cable's No. 1 original series of all time in Tweens 9-14 (1.7 million).
"Friends for Change Games"
On Friday, a half-hour recap of "Disney Friends for Change Games" (8:30 - 9:00 p.m.) dominated the competition, ranking as TV's No. 1 telecast in the half-hour in Kids 6-11 (1.2 million/5.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.0 million/4.1 rating), and cable's No. 1 telecast in Total Viewers (3.1 million).
· To date, the games have reached over 32 million unique Total Viewers on television, including nearly 14 million unique Kids 6-14.
