NBC PRIMETIME RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUG. 1-7

TUESDAY'S 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' IS THE #1 PROGRAM OF THE WEEK ON THE BROADCAST NETWORKS IN ADULTS 18-49, ADULTS 18-34, ADULTS 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS

THE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY EDITIONS OF 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' ARE THE #1 AND #2 PROGRAMS OF THE WEEK IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - August 9, 2011 - Paced by the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent," which was the #1 program of the week on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, NBC averaged a 1.1 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall for the week of August 1-7, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Tuesday's two-hour edition of "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" results show ranked #7 (tied) among all programs in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49. Also ranking among the top programs of the week in adults 18-49 was "Love In The Wild" (#22, tied).

With 11.9 million and 10.0 million viewers overall respectively, the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" were the #1 and #2 programs of the week in total viewers.

Primetime averages for the week of August 1-7 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.5/5), ABC (1.4/5), CBS (1.3/4), NBC (1.1/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (5.9 million), ABC (5.0 million), NBC (4.6 million), Fox (4.0 million) and CW (0.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of August 1-7:

* "America's Got Talent" delivered the #1 results on television Tuesday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures on a competitive night versus mostly first-run programming on the broadcast networks. "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key rating categories.

* "Talent" won the 9-10 p.m. ET hour Tuesday night by margins of 20 percent in adults 18-49 and 44 percent in total viewers. In the 10 p.m. hour, "Talent" beat the first-run ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

* Versus the same night last year, "America's Got Talent" was up 7 percent in adults 18-49 and 15 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers.

* NBC ranked #1 Tuesday night in adults 25-54 and total viewers. NBC has won 10 Tuesdays in a row in total viewers.

* On Wednesday, a Results Show edition of "America's Got Talent" tied for the #1 rating of the night in adults 18-49 and delivered the #1 result of the night outright in adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories on a competitive night that included CBS's "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

* Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" won its 9-10 p.m. ET time period with winning margins of 39 percent in adults 18-49 and 66 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, "Love in the Wild" ranked #1 in the 10 p.m. ET hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demographics.

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday night in total viewers.

* On Thursday, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" grew week to week by 22 percent in adults 18-49 and 8 percent in total viewers. "SVU" locked up NBC's highest 18-49 rating and biggest overall viewership in this time period since May 19.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright in adults 25-54 and other key measures. This marks the fifth week in a row and the eighth time in its last nine telecasts that Friday's "Dateline" has ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.

* From its first half-hour to its fourth, Friday's "Dateline" grew by 40 percent in adults 18-49 and 47 percent or 1.7 million persons in total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, August 1 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" delivered a 1.0 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall.

Monday from 9-10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall. From 10-11 p.m., an encore telecast of "Harry's Law" delivered a 0.6/2 and 3.2 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, August 2 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "It's Worth What?" averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "It's Worth What?" grew significantly in all key categories, including gains of 27 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.1) and 20 percent in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.4 million).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.1/9 in adults 18-49, 11.9 million viewers overall) generated the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures on a competitive night that included first-run episodes of Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" and "Masterchef," ABC's "Wipeout" and debut of "Take the Money & Run" and CBS's "48 Hours Mystery." Week to week, "America's Got Talent" maintained its 18-49 rating and grew 3 percent in total viewers (11.9 million vs. 11.5 million).

"America's Got Talent" ranked #1 in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key ratings categories. "Talent" won the 9-10 p.m. ET hour by margins of 20 percent in 18-49 rating (3.0 vs. a 2.5 for Fox's "Masterchef" in second place) and 44 percent in total viewers (11.7 million vs. 8.1 million for CBS's second-place "NCIS: LA" encore). In the 10 p.m. hour, "Talent" beat the first-run ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 (3.1 vs. a combined 2.1) and total viewers (12.1 million vs. a combined 8.5 million).

Versus the same night last year, "America's Got Talent" was up 7 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 3.1 rating from a 2.9) and 15 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (11.916 million vs. 10.368 million).

NBC ranked #1 on Tuesday night in adults 25-54 and total viewers. NBC has won 10 Tuesdays in a row in total viewers.

On Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. ET, "Minute To Winn It" averaged a 1.1/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute" clocked increases in virtually all key ratings categories, including gains of 10 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 1.0) and 13 percent in total viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.4 million).

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, a Results Show edition of "America's Got Talent" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall) tied for the #1 rating of the night in adults 18-49 and delivered the #1 result of the evening outright in adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories on a competitive night that included CBS's "Big Brother" from 8-9 p.m. and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" from 8-10 p.m. "Talent" built on its lead-in by 127 percent in 18-49 rating and 112 percent in total viewers.

"America's Got Talent" won its time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. The "Talent" margin of victory in adults 18-49 was 39 percent (2.5 vs. a 1.8 for Fox's second-place "So You Think You Can Dance" in that hour), and in total viewers, "Talent's" advantage was 66 percent (10.0 million vs. 6.0 million for CBS's "Criminal Minds" encore in second place).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demographics.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday night in total viewers.

On Thursday, August 4 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 17 percent in 18-49 rating.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 43 percent in 18-49 rating. From 9:31-10 p.m., a rebroadcast "30 Rock" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-4 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and 8 percent in total viewers (3.699 million vs. 3.436 million). "SVU" locked up NBC's highest 18-49 rating and biggest overall viewership in this time period since May 19.

On Friday, August 5 at 8 p.m. ET, "Friends With Benefits" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a second episode of "Friends With Benefits" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

"Who Is Simon Miller?" delivered NBC's biggest overall viewership in the time period since May 21.

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) increased from its first half-hour to its second in nearly all key ratings measures, including gains of 43 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 from a 0.7) and 19 percent in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 3.9 million).

On Sunday, August 7, from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.5/2 in adults 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall.

Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "It's Worth What?" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall. "It's Worth What?" built on its lead-in by 20 percent in 18-49 rating.

At 9 p.m. ET, "The Marriage Ref" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 50 percent in 18-49 rating and 18 percent in total viewers.

At 10 p.m. ET, a second episode of "The Marriage Ref" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall) grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating versus its telecast in this hour the prior Sunday (1.0 vs. 0.9).
