"TEEN WOLF" SEASON ONE COMES TO A DRAMATIC CONCLUSION AND SCORES SERIES HIGH RATINGS
The Series Will Return for a Second Season in 2012
NEW YORK, N.Y. (August 16, 2011) - MTV's critically acclaimed hit series "Teen Wolf" delivered a series-high 1.9 P12-34 rating, with 2.1 million total viewers tuning in to the gripping season finale last night. In addition, the finale was #1 in its timeslot with Teens and F12-34. The sophomore season of this young, sexy reinvention of the classic werewolf tale will return with 12 all new one-hour episodes in 2012.
The first season of "Teen Wolf" averaged a 1.5 P12-34 rating, more than doubling its time period average from a year ago, with more than 1.7 million viewers tuning in each week. MTV's two most recent entries in the scripted genre, "Awkward." and "Teen Wolf," are the network's highest-rated new series since 2009.
"Teen Wolf" stars Tyler Posey as Scott McCall; Crystal Reed as Allison Argent; Dylan O'Brien as Stiles; Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale; Holland Roden as Lydia Martin; and Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore.
"Teen Wolf" was developed by Jeff Davis (creator, "Criminal Minds") who also serves as executive producer. Additional executive producers include Marty Adelstein ("Prison Break"), Michael Thorn, Ren� Echevarria ("Medium," "Castle"), Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley. Russell Mulcahy ("Highlander," "Resident Evil: Extinction") is co-executive producer. The pilot was written by Jeff Davis and Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman and directed by Russell Mulcahy. The "Teen Wolf" series is based on a screenplay by Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman. Justin Levy and Anne Marie McGintee are the MTV executives in charge of production. The series is a co-production with MGM, in association with Lost Marbles Productions, Inc., First Cause, Inc. and DiGa.
