UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - August 18, 2011 - NBC's late-night lineup has scored #1 rankings for the week of August 8-12, as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" generated bigger audiences than ABC's mostly original combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's encores of "Late Show with David Letterman" in viewers 18-49, total viewers and all other key ratings categories. At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also out-delivered ABC's "Kimmel" and CBS's rebroadcasts of "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in all key ratings categories: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Note that "Kimmel" was in encores on Thursday and Friday and "Late Late Show" is excluded on those two nights due to late starts.

So far during the 2010-11 television season versus the first 47 weeks of last season, "Tonight" is up by 12 percent in total viewers (3.878 million vs. 3.473 million), while "Late Show" is down 8 percent (3.399 million vs. 3.708 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is also up 12 percent versus his year-ago pace in total viewers (1.772 million vs. 1.576 million), while "Late Late Show" is down 7 percent (1.675 million vs. 1.801 million).

At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" is up so far this season versus one year ago by 4 percent in 18-49 viewers (486,000 vs. 466,000) and up 12 percent in total viewers (978,000 vs. 873,000).

Jay Leno has ranked #1 for 44 of 46 weeks this season versus "Late Show" in viewers 18-49 and total viewers (excluding the week of Wimbledon delays). Jimmy Fallon has ranked #1 versus "Late Late Show" in viewers 18-49 for 46 of 46 weeks this season (excluding Wimbledon week). In total viewers, Jimmy has out-delivered "Late Late Show" for the last 13 weeks in a row.
