MTV DELIVERS ANOTHER BIG TUESDAY, WITH THE WINNING COMBINATION OF "TEEN MOM" AND "AWKWARD."
"TEEN MOM" IS #1 SHOW WITH P12-34 ACROSS ALL TV
"AWKWARD." SECURES #1 SPOT AMONG P12-34 IN TIME PERIOD
SANTA MONICA, CALIF. (August 24, 2011) - MTV once again scored a huge Tuesday night, with "Teen Mom" delivering a season-high 3.6 P12-34 rating, and "Awkward." garnering a series high 2.5 P12-34 rating.
Last night's episode of "Teen Mom" was the highest rated since the "Teen Mom" season two finale, propelling the show to Tuesday's top spot across all TV. Additionally, "Teen Mom" extended its eight week streak as Tuesday's #1 program among F12-34.
"Awkward." was the #1 show across all TV in the time period among P12-34. With a 1.9 P12-34 rating average for its first six episodes, the show is MTV's highest-rated new series since 2009.
Both series return with original episodes next Tuesday, August 30, with "Teen Mom" airing at 10:00 p.m. followed by "Awkward." at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

"Awkward.," which was recently picked up for a second season, stars Ashley Rickards ("One Tree Hill") as Jenna; Beau Mirchoff ("Desperate Housewives") as Matty; Molly Tarlov ("Huge," "iCarly") as Sadie; Jillian Rose Reed ("Weeds") as Tamara; Brett Davern ("Junk," "Triple Dog," ) as Jake; Nikki DeLoach ("North Shore," "Love and Other Drugs") as Lacey; Desi Lydic ("Traffic Light," "Two and a Half Men") as Valerie; Jessica Lu ("CSI," "Law & Order: Los Angeles") as Ming; Mike Faiola ("Seeing Other People") as Kevin; and Greer Grammer ("iCarly") as Lissa. "Awkward." was created by Lauren Iungerich who also serves as executive producer. Justin Levy and Anne Marie McGintee are the MTV executives in charge of production.
