CBS won premiere Tuesday in viewers and adults 25-54 and was a solid second in adults 18-49 as all three hours - NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and the series premiere of UNFORGETTABLE - improved year-ago time periods, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sept. 20.
At 8:00 PM, NCIS (P) was first in households (11.9/19), viewers (19.55m), adults 25-54 (5.8/15) and adults 18-49 (4.2/12). NCIS posted its largest advantage to date over a first-run "Glee" in adults 25-54 (+2.0 rtg pts), matched best advantage in adults 18-49 (+0.4, with May 17, 2011). Compared to last year's season premiere, NCIS was up +2% in both households (from 11.7/19) and adults 25-54 (from 5.7/15), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 4.0/11) and added +120,000 viewers (from 19.43m, +1%). NCIS was the night's top program in viewers and adults 25-54.
At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES (P) was first in households (10.3/15), viewers (16.69m), adults 25-54 (5.0/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/09). NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +6% in both households (from 9.7/15) and adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/11) and added +910,0000 viewers (from 15.78m, +6%) compared to last year's season premiere. NCIS: LOS ANGELES posted its best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since February 22, 2011.
At 10:00 PM, the series premiere of UNFORGETTABLE (P) was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (13.98m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08). CBS posted its best delivery in this time period with regularly scheduled programming since March 9, 2010 in households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, February 9, 2010 in viewers.
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.4/16), viewers (16.74m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/09).

Note: DVR penetration is at 42%, up from 38% last year. Last Fall, Live+7 audiences for original entertainment series on CBS gained over 1.8 million viewers, on average, over Live+ Same Day ratings, more than any other network. This season, we expect DVR penetration to continue to increase and, as a result, we expect DVR playback audiences to grow to as well.

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.5/16), viewers (16.92m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/10). CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers and adults 25-54, five of six half-hours in adults 18-49. CBS won premiere week Tuesday for the fourth consecutive year in both households and viewers, third straight premiere week Tuesday win in adults 25-54.
CBS.com continued its winning streak as well, breaking its single-day traffic record for the second consecutive day with more than 2 million unique visitors, up 108% from last year. The site also broke more records in daily social referrals on Tuesday, reflecting the popularity of CBS.com social events like Tweet Week and its Facebook pages. TWO AND A HALF MEN was again the most visited show-page on CBS.com, following by HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and the new CBS drama, UNFORGETTABLE.
