During 3Q11, powered by the ongoing success of original series, most notably "Kickin' It," the network's No. 1 series of all time, and tent-pole events like the debut of "Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension," Disney XD recorded its No. 1 quarter in the network's history in Total Day (includes Toon Disney) in Total Viewers (337,000) and across all key kid targets: Kids 6-14 (195,000), Boys 6-14 (120,000), Kids 6-11 (160,000), Boys 6-11 (98,000), Tweens 9-14 (126,000) and Tween Boys (78,000).
In Prime, 3Q11 also wrapped as Disney XD's No. 1 quarter on record among Total Viewers (392,000), Kids 6-14 (236,000), Boys 6-14 (146,000), Kids 6-11 (194,000), Boys 6-11 (121,000), Tweens 9-14 (152,000) and Boys 9-14 (95,000).
· Impressively, 3Q11 marked Disney XD's 11th consecutive quarter growing its Total Day and Prime audience year to year among its key kid and boy demos - dates back to 1Q09, the quarter Disney XD launched - emerging as the biggest gainer among all kid cable networks among core 6-14 and 9-14 measures.
· During the quarter, Disney XD delivered its Top 2 most-watched months ever in Prime in Kids 6-14, Kids 6-11, Tweens 9-14 and Tween Boys in July 11 and August 11, with September 11 ranking among the network's Top 5 months ever in the target demos.
· In Total Day, DXD doubled Nicktoons among Kids 6-11 (160,000 vs. 79,000), and again held the definitive edge in all remaining kid demos: Kids 6-14 (88% - 195,000 vs. 104,000), Boys 6-14 (58% - 120,000 vs. 76,000), Boys 6-11 (69% - 98,000 vs. 58,000), Tweens 9-14 (85% - 126,000 vs. 68,000) and Tween Boys (53% - 78,000 vs. 51,000).
· In Prime, DXD also surpassed Nicktoons by sizeable margins, outperforming the network by 62% in Kids 6-14 (236,000 vs. 146,000), by 30% in Boys 6-14 (146,000 vs. 112,000), by 70% among Kids 6-11 (194,000 vs. 114,000), by 39% in Boys 6-11 (121,000 vs. 87,000), by 67% among Tweens 9-14 (152,000 vs. 91,000) and by 36% among Tween Boys (95,000 vs. 70,000).
Programming Highlights
· On August 13, the premiere of "Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension" ranked as the network's No. 2 telecast on record in Boys 6-11 (455,000/3.6 rating), and its No. 1 movie telecast ever in Kids 6-11 (858,000/2.3 rating).
· Disney XD's No. 1 original series to date, the July 18 telecast of "Kickin' It" became Disney XD's No. 1 live-action telecast ever in Kids 6-14 (950,000), with the July 25 telecast the network's
No. 1 live-action telecast on record in Tweens 9-14 (675,000 on 7/25/11).
· Twice during 3Q11, "Zeke and Luther" hit series highs for two consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 and Boys 6-11 (7/18/11 and 7/25/11).
