SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC won its time period in viewers and key demographics with its largest audience since last December's "Survivor: Nicaragua" and best adult 18-49 rating since its initial episode, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 26.
SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (11.57m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). SURVIVOR posted its best viewer performance since Dec. 15, 2010 and best adults 18-49 ratings since September 14, 2011.
CRIMINAL MINDS (R) was first in households (7.2/11), viewers (11.36m), second in both adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07).
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) was first in viewers (9.01m), tied for first in households (5.8/10, with ABC), second in adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.0/05).
For the night, CBS was first in households (6.7/11), viewers (10.65m), second in both adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08).
Updated Wednesday ratings will be available this afternoon.
Note: DVR penetration is at 42%, up from 38% last year. Last fall, Live+7 audiences for original entertainment series on CBS gained over 1.8 million viewers, on average, over Live+ Same Day ratings, more than any other network. This season, we expect DVR penetration to continue to increase and, as a result, we expect DVR playback audiences to grow as well.
