Scores Best Ratings in Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 In More Than Three Years
Broadcast is up +5 Percent over Last Season
60 MINUTES finished near the top of the primetime heap again, drawing 18.07 million viewers to finish at #5 for the week and scoring its best ratings in the key demos in over three years. The broadcast also finished at #5 in the households category, delivering a 10.9/16, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Jan. 8.
In the key demos, 60 MINUTES scored a 5.9/12 in adults 25-54 and a 4.8/11 in adults 18-49, its best delivery in both measurements since Nov. 16, 2008 and the highest in its time period Sunday night.
The #5 finish was the tenth time over 14 telecasts that 60 MINUTES made the Top 10. Season to date, most current, 60 MINUTES is ranked #9, averaging 14.95 million viewers, up +5 percent over last season.
Sunday's broadcast featured a Scott Pelley hidden-camera investigation of stem cell fraud, Lara Logan's report on five sets of brothers serving in the Marines in Afghanistan and Lesley Stahl's look at truffles, the world's most expensive food.
