SYFY'S "POWERFUL MONDAYS" RETURN WITH POWERHOUSE PREMIERES OF "BEING HUMAN" AND "LOST GIRL"
BEING HUMAN RISES 14 PERCENT IN ADULTS 25-54 AND EIGHT PERCENT AMONG ADULTS 18-49 COMPARED TO SEASON ONE PREMIERE
LOST GIRL GRABS NEARLY 1.5 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS
NEW YORK - January 17, 2012 - Syfy continued its red-hot January with the premieres of Being Human and Lost Girl, marking the return of the channel's "Powerful Mondays" (Monday night 9-11PM) programming block.
From 9-10PM (ET/PT), the second season return of Being Human was up 14% in Adults 25-54 (1.1 million), nine percent among Adults 18-34 (458,000) and eight percent in Adults 18-49 (1.1 million) versus the January 17, 2011 series premiere. Being Human also averaged 1.8 million total viewers with a 1.3 household rating.
This constituted Being Human's second best performance ever among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
At 10PM, the premiere of Lost Girl delivered 1.47 million total viewers, 801,000 Adults 25-54, 694,000 Adults 18-49 and a 1.2 HH rating.
Lost Girl also improved on the premiere performance of Merlin on Syfy (4/2/10), leaping 25% in Adults 18-49, 19 percent in Adults 18-34, 14% in total viewers and 9 percent in Adults 25-54.
These impressive ratings followed Face Off's record-setting season two premiere, as well as Ghost Hunter's double-digit gains for its season eight return, on Wednesday, January 11.
