NICKELODEON'S "iCARLY" IS BASIC CABLE'S TOP ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM THIS WEEK, TALLYING ALMOST 5 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS
Nick Nabs Overall Top Spot for the Week Among Basic Cable
Nickelodeon's iCarly scored the top entertainment telecast for the week (1/16-1/22/12) with a new episode titled "iToe Fat Cakes," (Saturday, Jan. 21 at 8p.m. ET/PT), drawing 4.8 million viewers (up +62% over last year's time period). The half-hour episode ranks as this week's number-one entertainment program with kid and tween demos, posting double and triple-digit gains and averaging a 7.1/2.5 million (+54%) K2-11, 9.4/2 million (+68%) K6-11, and 8.9/1.9 million (+128%) T9-14.
Nickelodeon secured the top spot for the week (1/16-1/22/12) as the number-one total day cable net with K2-11 (3.1/1.1million), total viewers (2 million) and K2-5 (3.8/5.3 million).
Additionally, the premiere of Team Umizoomi's hour-long special, "Team Umizoomi vs. The Shape Bandit," (Friday, Jan. 20 at 12p.m. ET/PT), averaged a 6.3/872,000 (+9%) K2-5 and 1.8 million total viewers (+3%).
In "iToe Fat Cakes," an excited Carly is busy getting ready for a date, but she becomes trapped when her big toe gets stuck in the faucet. Meanwhile, the gang surprises food-obsessed Sam with a trip to the Fat Cakes factory in Canada. Their return home gets complicated when Sam tries to smuggle her favorite snacks over the border.
