NEW YORK, February 10, 2012 - HISTORY(R) continues its phenomenal ratings success! The season 3 premiere of SWAMP PEOPLE delivered 4.7 million total viewers and increased 21% vs. the season 2 premiere. New series MUDCATS launched with 3 million total viewers. SWAMP PEOPLE also captured 2.5 million Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

On Sunday, February 5, 115 million total viewers watched the SWAMP PEOPLE commercial during the Super Bowl. With the help of this massive exposure, SWAMP PEOPLE's third season premiere was one of HISTORY's best season openers ever.
Season Three of SWAMP PEOPLE follows the intrepid hunters and family men and women as they head out in pursuit of these most powerful beasts during the 30-day alligator hunting season, regulated by the state of Louisiana. MUDCATS follows the men who compete with each other in an effort to showcase the best "mudcatters" in Oklahoma - "hands down"!
