Turner Weekly Ratings - TBS Ranks as Basic Cable's #1 Network in Primetime Among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49

NBA on TNT

Through 19 games of TNT's 2011-12 NBA regular-season schedule, the network continues to deliver double-digit gains vs. last year's corresponding coverage. The NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.8 U.S. rating (+20%, 1.5 U.S. rating); 2,807,000 total viewers (+24%, 2,256,000 total viewers) and 2,105,000 households (+24%, 1,697,000 households) over last year's corresponding coverage.

NBA TV

Through seven weeks of NBA TV's 2011-12 regular-season schedule, the network continues to experience double-digit increases compared to last season. The network is averaging 358,000 total viewers (+58%) and 279,000 households (+59%) for 46 games.

NBA TV's Tuesday Fan Night matchup (Feb. 7) featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors delivered 325,000 households, 434,000 total viewers and 105,000 Men 18-34.

TBS

TBS is on top yet again, ranking as basic cable's #1 network in primetime among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.

The Big Bang Theory led the TBS charge, with the Tuesday 10 p.m. episode scoring as basic cable's #1 sitcom telecast for the week among viewers (3.5 million) and adults 18-49 (2 million). Overall, TBS accounted for 14 of basic cable's Top 15 sitcom telecasts for the week in both categories.

TBS also scored well on the movie front, with its Saturday 8 p.m. telecast of The Hangover delivering 2.9 million viewers and ranking as basic cable's #1 movie of the week with adults 18-49 (1.7 million). TBS claimed seven of basic cable's Top 10 movie telecasts for the week, with Rush Hour 3, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Men in Black II joining the list.

TBS's Emmy(R)-nominated late-night series CONAN continues to climb, with February shaping up to be the show's fourth consecutive month of growth. Last week, CONAN averaged more than 1 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 385,000 adults 18-34 and 671,000 adults 18-49. Through the second week of the month, February is up 10% with adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 compared to January, while total viewers are up 6%. Meanwhile, time-shifted viewing for episodes from the week of Jan. 23 finished with 1,016,000 viewers in Live + 7 delivery, with 357,000 adults 18-34 and 637,000 adults 18-49.

Adult Swim

A new episode of the Adult Swim original series Delocated (Thursday, 12 a.m.) earned delivery gains of 6% among adults 18-24 (364,000) and 10% among men 18-24 (233,000). Both adults and men 18-49 also delivered 1% delivery gains vs. the same time period last year. Also, a new episode of Family Guy (Monday, 11 p.m.) charted delivery improvement of 5% among adults 18-24 (806,000), 8% among adults 18-34 (1,365,000), 6% among men 18-34 (836,000) and 1% among men 18-49 (1,055,000).

Adult Swim's original series Robot Chicken (Sunday, 10 p.m.) continues to chart solid double-digit delivery gains among targeted young adult and young male demos. Versus the previous year's time period, the 10 p.m. performance scored delivery gains ranging between 10% and 63%.

Across the second week of February, Adult Swim ranked #1 on basic cable for Total Day Delivery of all young adult and young men demos - adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 18-24, men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 18-24.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy and Robot Chicken - accounted for 14 of the top 50 telecasts for the week on basic cable among adults 18-34 (more than any other network), and 20 of the top 50 among men 18-34, also more than any other network.

TNT

TNT's acclaimed cop drama Southland drew 2.3 million viewers in Live + 3 last week (1.5 million Live + Same Day). Among key demos, the episode drew 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 1.2 million adults 25-54 in Live + 3. In its fourth season, Southland continues to show growth compared to season three, including a 5% boost among adults 18-49.

Cartoon Network

The #1 television network among boys, Cartoon Network once again ranked as the #1 television network--broadcast & cable--in early prime time (7-9 p.m.) among all boys (2-11, 6-11, 9-14) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and #1 with boys on basic cable on Thursday. Among those nights, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights each charted double and triple-digit delivery gains among boys, ranging between 29% and 160%. (Kids delivery also grew by double and triple-digits across the board.)

Across February '12 Week 2, Cartoon Network scored powerful double-digit delivery gains across all kids demos in early evening prime time (7-9 p.m.) vs. the same time period last year: average kids 6-11 (649,000) grew by 23%, kids 2-11 (909,000) by 16% and kids 9-14 (516,000) by 28%. Similarly, Total Day delivery increased across all kids: average kids 6-11 (342,000) improved by 18%, kids 2-11 (524,000) by 9% and kids 9-14 (264,000) by 22%.

Among its original programming, the network's newest live-action comedy series Level Up (Tuesday, 8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boy demos, scoring big double and triple-digit delivery growth across all kids and boys demos (47% - 279%). Additionally, Adventure Time (Monday, 7:30 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the WEEK among boys 6-11 on all TV; Regular Show (Monday, 8 p.m.) immediately followed as the #1 telecast of the WEEK among boys 9-14 on basic cable. The Amazing World of Gumball (Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.) and Ninjago (Wednesday, 8 p.m.) each scored as the #1 telecast of the day among all boys.

On Saturday morning, the network's action-adventure block Crushzone (6:30 - 11: a.m.) earned double-digit delivery gains across all kids and boys demos (10% - 35%) vs. the same time period last year.

truTV

truTV's popular Lizard Lick Towing opened the week with 1.8 million viewers Monday at 10 p.m., scoring Top 5 ad-supported cable rankings in its timeslot among adults 18-49, men 18-34, men 18-49 and total viewers.

Hardcore Pawn brought in more than 2.5 million viewers Tuesday at 9 p.m., with Top 5 time-period rankings with adults 18-49, men 18-49 and total viewers. Storage Hunters followed at 9:30 p.m. with 1.9 million viewers and a Top 5 timeslot ranking with men 18-49.

Operation Repo returned for more of its 9th season Wednesday at 9 p.m., ranking among the Top 5 programs in its timeslot with total viewers (1.9 million), adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49.
