OVER ONE MILLION VIEWERS TUNE IN TO OXYGEN'S NEWEST DOCU-SERIES "TANISHA GETS MARRIED"
New Series Is Network's Best Ever Docu-Series Premiere
NEW YORK - May 8, 2012 - The "godmother" of all Bad Girls, Tanisha Thomas, proves she's still the fan favorite as Oxygen's "Tanisha Gets Married" marks the network's best ever freshman docu-series premiere with over one million total viewers (1,073,000). The series which follows Tanisha as she plans her dream wedding also earned impressive numbers in key demos including W18-49 (494,000), A18-34 (462,000) and W18-34 (401,000) according to Nielsen. Compared to the prior four week time period, Monday night's premiere was up double digits with 96% in W18-34, +86% in total viewers, +76% in W18-49, and +68% in A18-34. In the 11pm hour, Oxygen was the #2 cable network among W18-34.
In last night's premiere episode, viewers followed along as Tanisha began to plan her fairy-tale wedding to boyfriend of seven years, Clive. Her reactions are priceless as Tanisha will say things out loud that many only think about and never dream of saying. While meeting with a wedding planner Tanisha discovers their high cost and unabashedly proclaims, "I am in the wrong business, you guys are pimps!" After a venue owner agrees to her request to serve mac & cheese at her wedding, Tanisha jumps with excitement saying, "Any friend of macaroni and cheese is a friend of mine!" The emotion and the comedy continue when "Tanisha Gets Married" moves into its regular timeslot, Mondays at 10 PM ET/PT, beginning May 14th.

On the digital front, according to SocialGuide, Oxygen ranked as the #1 most social network airing series yesterday with respect to both comments and social uniques, driven by strong social involvement in the "Bad Girls Club Las Vegas" reunion special and the "Tanisha Gets Married" premiere. "Tanisha Gets Married" ranked as the #4 most social series amongst all cable series. In addition "Bad Girls Club: Las Vegas" ranked as the #1 most social program amongst all cable and broadcast networks for the day.
Additionally, part two of the network's "Bad Girls Club Las Vegas" reunion special at 10pm delivered a season high with over two million total viewers (2,162,000), up +46% from the prior season's Reunion part 2 on 11/14/11. It was the ninth telecast of the season to draw over one million viewers in A18-49. In the 10PM hour, Oxygen was the #1 television network in W18-34, outperforming the three major broadcast networks CBS, ABC and NBC.
