Second-Highest Game 4 Overnight Rating in ABC History

Through four games, the 2012 NBA Finals - the Miami Heat leading the Oklahoma City Thunder 3-1 - is averaging an 11.6 overnight rating, the highest since 2004 and the second-highest in ABC history, according to Nielsen. The four-game average is up six percent from last year - Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat - which averaged a 10.9.

NBA Finals Game 4 delivered a 12.4 overnight rating, the highest since 2004 and the second-highest Game 4 ever on ABC. It is up 12 percent from last year, which earned an 11.1. The game peaked with a 16.3 rating from 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. ET. The only other NBA Finals Game 4 with a higher rating was in 2004 - Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons - which earned a 14.5.

In Oklahoma City, the game delivered a 49.1 rating, the highest for an NBA game ever in the market. In Miami, the game delivered a 34.6 rating.

The NBA Finals will continue with Game 5 on Thursday, June 22, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN Radio, ESPN3 and via the WatchESPN app. Kia NBA Countdown will preview the game at 8:30 p.m.

The Net has won all 4 nights with its 2012 NBA Finals coverage with viewers and all key adult demographics (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54).

· In Adults 18-49, ABC scored its top-rated Tuesday in 2 years - since 6/15/10.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night 4" (Various Time Periods) Airing around the NBA Finals in various time periods across the country, "Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night" continued to generate broad exposure for the ABC late-night show in prime. On average, "JKL Game Night" surged by 94% in Total Viewers (3.5 million vs. 1.8 million) and by 120% in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 0.5/2) over the show's 2011-12 season averages in late night.

· "Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night" grew week to week in both viewers (+6%) and young adults (+10%), putting up the highest numbers yet for the specials this year.

With the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Miami Heat, ABC's 2012 NBA Finals Game 4 towered over primetime to stand as Tuesday's dominant No. 1 TV program with Total Viewers (17.5 million) and across each of the key Adult demographics: A18-34 (7.8/26), A18-49 (7.4/22) and A25-54 (7.5/20). It was the 4th consecutive broadcast for the 2012 NBA Finals to finish as the No. 1 TV program of the night. The Heat defeated the Thunder by a score of 104-98 to lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.
