Friday Primetime Results:
· At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Whitney" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall. At 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall.
· From 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers with three-week highs in all three categories. In the time period, "Dateline" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories. Week to week, "Dateline" was up 18 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.1), 20 percent in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and 20 percent in total viewers (5.564 million vs. 4.653 million). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 56 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 0.9), 54 percent in adults 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.3) and 40 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 4.4 million.
· In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Dateline NBC" delivered a 33 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 2.0 rating vs. ABC's second-place 1.5). "Dateline" also led at 10:30 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.
In late-night metered-market households Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.3/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Nightline," 1.0/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.
· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
