UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 10, 2012 - With "America's Got Talent" ranking as the #1 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for a sixth week in a row in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, NBC's primetime lineup has averaged a 1.2 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall for the week of July 2-8, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC ranked #2 for the week among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers and was #1 in adults 25-54.

The broad-based hit "America's Got Talent" was the week's #1 telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 (tie), households, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. "Talent" has now delivered the eight highest 18-49 ratings among all primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, excluding sports, since the end of the May sweep on May 23, and the nine biggest overall audiences, excluding sports, since the May sweep.

Among NBC's top-ranked programs for the week, Monday's "America's Got Talent" finished #1 in adult 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, Tuesday's "Talent" tied for #5, Monday's "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" ranked #10, Wednesday's "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" tied for #11, Tuesday's "Love in the Wild" and Wednesday's "Macy's" encore tied for #23 and the Sunday's "Dateline NBC" tied for #28.

In total viewers, the Monday and Tuesday editions of "Talent" ranked #1 and 2 for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, the "Macy's" special was #7, Monday's "Olympic Trials" ranked #10 and Sunday's "Dateline" was #14.

Primetime averages for the week of July 2-8 in adults 18-49 were: Fox (1.3/4), NBC (1.2/4), ABC (1.1/4), CBS (0.9/3) and CW (0.2/1). In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS (5.3 million), NBC (4.9 million), ABC (4.0 million), Fox (3.5 million) and CW (0.6 million).

For the 2011-12 broadcast year to date, NBC is tied for #3 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 rating and is #3 outright ahead of ABC in viewers 18-49. NBC is the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox that's up versus one year ago in viewers 18-49. NBC is also #2 in adults 18-34 for the broadcast year to date. Averages for the broadcast year through 41 weeks are: Fox (3.0/8), CBS (2.7/8), NBC (2.3/7), ABC (2.3/7) and CW (0.7/2). In overall total viewers, the broadcast-year averages are: CBS (10.8 million), Fox (8.3 million), ABC (8.0 million), NBC (7.1 million) and CW (1.6 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 2-8

* On Monday, "America's Got Talent" delivered the night's #1 results in adults 18-49 and total viewers, leading NBC to the nightlong win in both categories.

* Monday's coverage of the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" led the 8-8:30 p.m. ET half-hour with the second-biggest audience for an Olympic-Trials swimming telecast since at least 1988.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" scored the night's #1 18-49 and total-viewer results on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox.

* Also on Tuesday, "Love in the Wild" ranked #1 on ABC, CBS and NBC in the hour in 18-49 and other key demos.

* NBC won Wednesday night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and total viewers, with "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" ranking #1 and #2 for the night on those nets in 18-49 with time-period wins for both the 9 p.m. original and the 10 p.m. encore. The 9 p.m. original scored the second-highest results for the "Macy's" event in five years in 18-49 and the second-best in total viewers in 12 years.

* Also on Wednesday, an encore "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" led the 8-8:30 p.m. ET half-hour in 18-49 and total viewers and was the #3 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 behind only the two telecasts of NBC's "Macy's" special.

* On Thursday, "Rock Center" reported a summer high in adults 18-49 with its top rating since May 2.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" built from its first half-hour to its fourth by 86 percent in 18-49 rating to move into first place among ABC, CBS and NBC for its final half-hour from 10:30-11 p.m. ET.

* On Sunday, "Dateline NBC" led the 7-8 p.m. ET hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 with its top results in that hour since April 22 in 18-49 and since March 18 in total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of July 2-8:

On Monday, July 2 from 8-8:30 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" (1.9 rating, 6 share in adult 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) grew in total viewers versus the prior Monday's 8-9 p.m. coverage by 7 percent (to 7.4 million from 6.9 million) to earn the second biggest audience for an Olympic-Trials swimming telecast since at least 1988 (trailing over that span only the prior night's average of 7.9 million for an 8-9 p.m. telecast). The July 2 Olympic-Trials coverage finished #1 in the half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers.

Monday from 8:30-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.0/9 in 18-49, 10.4 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Talent" won its competitive time period among ABC, CBS NBC and Fox in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "America's Got Talent" is up 173 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.0 from a 1.1) and up 119 percent in total viewers (10.401 million vs. 4.758 million).

NBC finished #1 for the night in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

On Tuesday, July 3, at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.0/4 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, the 8 p.m. "Talent" encore grew by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and by 10 percent in total viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.6 million).

Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.3/8 in 18-49, 9.3 million viewers overall) delivered the top 18-49 and total-viewer results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox and led its slot among those networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. "America's Got Talent" built on its lead-in from the 8 p.m. "Talent" encore by 130 percent in 18-49 rating and 94 percent in total viewers.

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

On Wednesday, July 4 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. The "Rockers" encore trailed only the original and encore telecasts of the "Macy's 4th of July" special among the night's primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49.

Wednesday at 8:30 ET, a rebroadcast of "Up All Night" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) tied for #1 in the half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" (1.8/7 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) displayed the night's #1 results in 18-49 and total viewers. In the 9 p.m. hour, "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key ratings categories. This year's Wednesday telecast finished within 0.3 of a point of last year's 2.1 in 18-49 for Monday coverage and within 7 percent of last year's 8.7 million overall viewership, making this the second-highest 18-49 rating for the "Macy's 4th of July" special in five years (since 2007) and second-biggest overall audience in 12 years (since 2000). From its first half-hour to its second, the "Macy's" special grew by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from a 1.4) and by 61 percent or 3.8 million persons in total viewers (10.0 million vs. 6.2 million).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" (1.2/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 ahead of CBS's original "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" (with a 1.2 rating vs. a 0.8) and ABC's original "Final Witness" (1.2 vs. 0.5). The "Macy's" rebroadcast also ranked #1 for the hour among those networks in all other key demographics. The 10 p.m. "Macy's" encore trailed only the 9 p.m. original among the night's primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49.

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories.

On Thursday, July 5 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers overall.

Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" averaged a 0.4/1 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) reported its highest adult 18-49 rating since May 2, when it was still airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m. This week's edition of "Rock Center" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8) and 4 percent in total viewers (3.4 million vs. 3.3 million). Versus its lead-in, "Rock Center" was up 125 percent in 18-49, 83 percent in adults 25-54 (to a 1.1 rating from a 0.6) and 51 percent in total viewers. Compared with NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, "Rock Center" is up 29 percent (3.320 million vs. 2.579 million, L+SD non-sports).

Friday, July 6 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Whitney" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. At 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 1.1 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time period in adults 18-49 and 25-54. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 86 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 0.7), by 70 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.0) and by 75 percent or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 2.9 million). For its final half-hour from 10:30-11 p.m., "Dateline" ranked #1 outright among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and tied for #1 in 25-54.

On Saturday, July 7, from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall. "Talent" ranked #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49.

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, an encore of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" delivered a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall, to rank #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49. From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.6) and 20 percent in total viewers (3.5 million vs. 2.9 million).

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, "The Firm" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall.

On Sunday, July 8, from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos. "Dateline" reported its best Sunday 7-8 p.m. results in 18-49 since April 22 and in total viewers since March 18. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew by 30 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.0) and 17 percent in total viewers (6.4 million vs. 5.4 million).

Sunday from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" delivered a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall. And from 10-11 p.m. ET, a second rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall, to rank #2 in the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all other key demos.
