Turner Weekly Ratings - TNT's Primetime Deliveries Are Up 21% Among Adults 18-34 This Summer
Turner spins the numbers for the week of July 2-8.

TNT is enjoying strong growth this summer, driven in large part by the network's lineup of original series, including this summer's top dramas Rizzoli & Isles, Dallas and Falling Skies.

For the summer, TNT's primetime deliveries are up 13% among total viewers, 12% among adults 18-49 and 11% among adults 25-54, compared to the network's performance in summer 2011. Much of the growth is coming from the younger end of the spectrum, with adults 18-34 up 21%.

Last week's episode of the Tuesday night hit Rizzoli & Isles averaged 5.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day to rank as basic cable's #1 entertainment program for the week and Tuesday's #1 program on all of cable. Among key demos, the show averaged 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.7 million adults 25-54. The episode has since grown to 7.4 million viewers in Live + 3, with 2.2 million adults 18-49 and 2.7 million adults 25-54.

Falling Skies drew 3.6 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery Sunday night. The episode also averaged 1.5 million adults 18-49 and ranked as basic cable's #1 show for the day with adults 25-54 (1.8 million). Meanwhile, the previous week's episode of Falling Skies has grown to 4.9 million viewers in Live + 3, with 2.3 million adults 18-49; 2.7 million adults 25-54.

Last Wednesday's new episode of Dallas brought in a holiday crowd of 3.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day to rank as the day's #1 show on all of cable. The episode also scored 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.5 million adults 25-54. Last week's episode of Dallas has since grown to 4.6 million viewers in Live + 3, with 1.8 million adults 18-49 and 2.1 million adults 25-54.

Tuesday night's episode of Franklin & Bash nabbed 3.2 million viewers in Live + Same Day last Tuesday to rank behind Rizzoli & Isles as the #2 program on cable for the day. It also averaged 1 million adults 18-49 and 1.3 million adults 25-54. Through time-shifted viewing, the episode has grown to a 4.4 million viewers in Live + 3, with 1.7 million adults 18-49 and 2.0 million adults 25-54.

Sunday night's installment of The Great Escape captured 1.2 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 755,000 adults 18-49 and 730,000 adults 25-54. The prior week's episode attracted 1.7 million viewers in Live + 3, with 1.0 million adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54.

TNT's signature Wide Open coverage of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona Powered by Coca-Cola combined with the first-ever simulcast on truTV, generated a 3.8 U.S. household rating and 6,184,000 total viewers to become the highest-rated and most-viewed Daytona 400 since 2008 (3.8 U.S. HH rating and 6,390,000 total viewers), based on Nielsen Fast Nationals. Saturday's primetime coverage (7:30-10:32 p.m. ET) is up +12% compared with last year's 3.4 U.S. HH rating and +3% over the average of 6,029,000 total viewers in 2011.

Turner Sports' telecast of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona Powered by Coca-Cola delivered Saturday's most-viewed program across all television among households, total viewers and key demos, including adults 18-49, adults 25-54, men 18-49 and men 25-54. The TNT portion of the simulcast ranked as basic cable's #1 program for the week with viewers and adults 25-54. TNT's primetime coverage of the NASCAR Summer Series also delivered the highest-rated and most-viewed program of the day on ad-supported cable for the fifth consecutive week.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim ranked #1 in Prime Time delivery of adults 18-34 (439,000) among basic cable networks, up 15% compared to the same week last year.

Adult Swim also ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 as well as men 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24. Average Prime Time (Mon-Sat, 8-11 p.m./Sun, 7-11 p.m.) delivery of adults 18-24 (199,000) grew by 5% and men 18-34 (244,000) by 7%.

Among Adult Swim's original comedy programming, a new episode of Metalocalypse (Sunday, 12:15 a.m.) earned 10% delivery gains among adults 18-24 vs. the same time period last year.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad, Robot Chicken and Childrens Hospital - accounted for more than half (26) of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34. Thursday's 11:30 p.m. telecast of Family Guy ranked #1 on the list, scoring 1,327,000 viewers 18-34.

Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network once again ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and #1 in Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery among boys 2-11 & 6-11.

Among the network's original series, Monday night's Regular Show (8 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 6-11; the #1 telecast of the day among boys 2-11 (& 6-11); and #1 in its time period among all boys (including boys 9-14). Similarly, Monday's presentations of Annoying Orange (8:30 p.m.) and MAD (8:45 p.m.) each ranked #1 in their time periods among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Monday night's overall performance (7-9 p.m.) grew by double-digits across the board, ranging between 35% and 55%.

Tuesday night's Total Drama: Revenge of the Island (7:30 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11 & 9-14, and #1 in its time period among all boys. Immediately following, original comedy series Level Up (8 p.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period among all boys.

Saturday morning's (6:30 - 11 a.m.) presentation of action-adventure programming - including Ninjago (9:30 a.m.), The Green Lantern (10 a.m.) and Young Justice (10:30 a.m.) - increased by double-digits across all kids and boys demos - between 14% and 34%.

TBS

TBS's original sitcom Men at Work averaged 2.1 million viewers in Live + Same Day last Thursday. The episode's audience has grown to more than 2.4 million viewers in Live + 3. Men at Work also averaged 673,000 adults 18-34 in Live + Same Day last week (822,000 L+3) and 1.2 million adults 18-49 (1.5 million L+3). For its first season, Men at Work is averaging 2.6 million viewers in Live + 7, with 907,000 adults 18-34 and 1.7 million adults 18-49.

truTV

truTV rode strong performances from its original series to rank as one of basic cable's Top 10 networks for the week in primetime delivery of adults 18-49. The network was also in the Top 10 among basic cable entertainment networks with men 18-34 and men 18-49 in primetime. truTV enjoyed double-digit primetime growth across the board compared to the same week last year.

truTV's hit series Lizard Lick Towing (Monday at 10 p.m.) landed among basic cable's Top Five programs in its timeslot among total viewers (2.3 million) and adults 18-49 (1.2 million) for the fourth consecutive week. The show scored triple-digit time-period growth across the board and led truTV to a Top 10 ranking among basic cable networks for the night.

Storage Hunters (Sunday at 10 p.m.) brought in 2.3 million viewers and scored Top 5 basic cable timeslot rankings with adults 18-49 and men 18-49. It also scored triple-digit time-period growth and propelled truTV to a Top 10 basic cable ranking for the night.

Other shows that performed strongly last week were the breakout hit Hardcore Pawn (1.4 million viewers Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.) and Operation Repo (1.3 million viewers Wednesday at 10 p.m.). Both shows scored double-digit time-period growth with key adult and male demos.
