RATINGS SUCCESS CONTINUES DURING HISTORY(R)'S HOT SUMMER NUMBER ONE IN ALL CABLE IN KEY DEMOS
Success driven by Hatfields & McCoys, Pawn Stars, Swamp People, IRT, Top Gear and New Series Mountain Men and Counting Cars
New York, August 29, 2012 - HISTORY has secured the top position in key demos of Adults 25-54 and Men 25-54 this summer, averaging 1.1 million and 639,000 respectively from June through August. The network was also up by +10% among Adults 25-54 vs. 2011. Additionally, Total Viewers saw an increase of 10% averaging 2.3 million.
Driving the network's success this summer were popular, acclaimed series including PAWN STARS, SWAMP PEOPLE, ICE ROAD TRUCKERS, TOP GEAR and new series, MOUNTAIN MEN and COUNTING CARS, as well as the incredible performance of HATFIELDS & MCCOYS.
HISTORY had three of the top five series on cable among Adults 25-54 this summer including: PAWN STARS, AMERICAN PICKERS and SWAMP PEOPLE.
