· At 8 p.m. ET, "The 2012 ALMA Awards" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall.
· At 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Grimm" delivered a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall. Pending updates, "Grimm" is generating the show's biggest audience among six encores aired in the time period this summer.
· At 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall. Pending updates, "Dateline NBC" is reporting its top Friday 18-49 and total-viewer results since August 17.
In late-night metered-market households Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.7/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.4/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.
· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
Saturday Primetime Results:
· Currently available fast-affiliate ratings are subject to significant revision for NBC Sports' coverage of "Notre Dame Football," but in time zone-adjusted metered-market ratings, the Michigan-Notre Dame game finished #1 Saturday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox with an average 4.1/8 in metered-market households from 8-10:45 p.m. In primetime averages from 8-11 p.m., NBC is #1, with a 17 percent advantage over CBS's encore programming (with a 4.1 rating vs. a 3.5), a 37 percent advantage over ABC's college football (3.0) and a 273 percent margin over Fox's college football (1.1). It's NBC's top-rated Saturday since the London Olympics. In fast-affiliate ratings, subject to significant revision, NBC is #1 for the night in adults 18-49, total viewers, households and other key categories.
In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday night:
· "Saturday Night Live," with host Joseph Gordon-Levitt and musical guest Mumford & Sons (5.0/12 in metered-market households), dominated its time period. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Saturday Night Live" averaged a 3.0 rating, 13 share in adults 18-49. Versus the same night last year, the September 22 "SNL" is up 11 percent in the Local People Meters (3.0 vs. 2.7) and versus the prior week, "SNL" is up 7 percent (3.0 vs. 2.8).
· "Saturday Night Live" was the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox both in 18-49 rating in the Local People Meters and in metered-market household rating, outscoring all primetime programs on those networks.
