'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE' DELIVERS ITS BIGGEST AUDIENCE FOR AN ENCORE IN A YEAR AND A HALF
WITH HOST SETH MACFARLANE AND MUSICAL GUEST FRANK OCEAN, THE OCT. 27 EDITION AVERAGES 5.2 MILLION VIEWERS, MOST FOR AN 'SNL' REBROADCAST SINCE APRIL 16, 2011
SEASON TO DATE, 'SNL' ORIGINALS ARE UP VS. LAST YEAR IN 18-49 BY 7 PERCENT
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 2, 2012 - The October 27 encore edition of "Saturday Night Live," hosted by Seth MacFarlane and featuring musical guest Frank Ocean, has delivered the show's biggest overall audience for a rebroadcast in a year and a half.
The October 27 encore averaged a 1.8 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and
5.2 million viewers overall. That 5.2 million is the biggest viewership for an "SNL" rebroadcast since an April 16, 2011 edition hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and featuring musical guest Cee Lo Green, which averaged
5.5 million.
In adults 18-49, the October 27 telecast is the top "Saturday Night Live" encore since February 25 (with an episode hosted by Charlie Day and featuring musical guest Maroon 5, 1.8), and it matched the high for a rebroadcast since that April 16, 2011 telecast (2.0).
Versus a "Saturday Night Live" encore on the same night last year, the October 27 rebroadcast is up 20 percent in adults 18-49 (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 1.5) and up 9 percent in total viewers (5.2 million vs. 4.7 million).
The October 27 "Saturday Night Live" encore out-rated every Saturday non-sports primetime telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox so far this season in adults 18-49.
In national ratings so far this season, original telecasts of "Saturday Night Live" are up versus one year ago by 7 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 3.1 vs. a 2.9, "most current") and up 5 percent in total viewers
(7.8 million vs. 7.5 million).
